Priestess de Mantinea
I just watched today's Doctor Who episode: Nikola Tesla's Night of Terrorhttps://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7qspxo The conversation at 12:49 between the Doctor and Tesla warmed my heart. I've heard that Nikola Tesla, the genius inventor/engineer who was ages ahead of his time, has been considered to have been very likely ace ("Tesla chose to never pursue or engage in any known relationships, instead finding all the stimulation he needed in his work." --Wikipedia.) And I've always considered Doctor Who to be ace. In today's episode at 12:49, there was a bonding moment between the Doctor and Tesla when they realize that they share many unique characteristics--they both are inventors, they each understand how the other feels, they both feel no one really understands them, etc. This to me felt just like two aces meeting and coming out to each other and finding comfort in knowing they are not alone...and reminded me of my first ace meetup where I met people like me for the first time. Although they didn't mention asexuality, I could almost feel it in the air.
