Horton97
I am curious as to if trauma from a past, very negative experience can play a factor in asexuality. Like, I'm pretty sure I was asexual before the event, but is it possible that that event "strengthened" my asexuality/sexual repulsion? It's a complicated question, but I hope this was enough info to base an answer off of! Thank you and sorry!!
Lord Jade Cross
Its a common enough question here. The shorter version of it is that, yes, a traumatic event can cause a person to refrain further from behaving a certain way. It doesnt take away sexual urges, as it has been evidenced by others who have had traumatuc experiences and still desire sexual interraction but it certainly is a wall that has to be surmounted before its effects restrain a person.
