sailor
When I first spent a lot of time with my cousin, I started feeling closer to them. Closer, like I wanted to talk about random stuff, and spend time together, but it didn’t feel platonic, or like any other attraction I’ve experienced. so, I just said, “wow! This is what loving your family feels like!” Until... I felt the same way about a friend, or really an acquaintance. Does it have a name?? Or am I just weird?
Techie
The ancient Greeks had four words for love: philia, storge, agape and eros. Basically defining the different types of love we experience. Your description would fall under "philla" as I understand it to mean. A good definition is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philia. "Eros" would be what we describe as romantic love.
