Fear is an emotion, it's not rational. 😉 Oooh, I like how you think! Future biohacker approves! >:

Birth defect or not, ultimately, we don't care as long as the person is healthy. Same with every variation from the norm, including thinking you're neither male nor female. We should make sure such people are healthy, and if that implies accommodating their ''defective'' gender dysphoria, then so be it. As it has been said, Nature has no ''right'' or ''wrong'', it's only about survival. Helping your species go on, even if you're not procreating yourself. Most of whom you'd call ''misfits'' can do that. And if they don't? Oops, but they're still people, as deserving of respect as any other, and living in their own different way. Nothing can make one of Nature's children inherently wrong. I am and have been a victim of congenital defects. With advanced technology, I was given a path forward. I survive. But though it took forever to figure out, it's likely I was also the product of human tampering with natural processes. So what do I do, what can I say. That Nature giveth and Nature taketh? I am an engineer that works on a lot of biomedical technology. Somehow it seems fitting, that even the strokes didn't 'kill' that. One of the things I worked on was using PET technology to find and pinpoint tumors, often in children. There was a saying that I read a long time ago, that always gets me a little emotional: Quote Sometimes, God writes straight with crooked lines. I am not be able to safely procreate, but I can still create good things. In overall forest of things, is that not a tall oak?
Janus the Fox
How can any gender dysphoria be defective? Gender dysphoria is what it is, it’s going to be different with everyone experiencing it. Does even defective gender even exist? It don’t to me, everyone’s different and gender is who you an I am. What is even a genital defect? I was born with a mild intersex condition, it was corrected imperfectly is what was known 27 years ago for which now it’s known not to correct until there’s a medical need. Nature has its ways and often, nurture defies nature and calls things defective without ‘thinking’ too much into it My non binary, transfem intersexuality is what nature gave to me first. PoeciMeta
Yes. If we're going this way, then gender dysphoria itself would be the defect, and what does that mean about us all trans people? The first human who chose to tame fire instead of running away from it was abnormal. The first fish with a bony skeleton had a birth defect. But they survived. In nature, there's no such thing as a ''defect'' that doesn't hinder your ability to stay alive.
