I should have used a longer quote to make it more clear that I was objecting to the fact that you argued that the cutoff point is inherent in the developmental stages of the egg turning into a chicken, while I was trying to point out that you chose a certain definition of what is a chicken, and only that then made the choice of the egg coming first appear as the only logical answer. You can go back further in time: Your first egg was a cell in it's mother's body first, so I think you could equally well choose to call that mother the chicken that came first.
