So, i just masturbated for the first time ever.

Okay well it was a few weeks ago, but i'm only now writing about it. I'm 19 and I never have felt a need or want to masturbate. Here's the story of why i did it and my thoughts. A few weeks ago i almost fainted, and must have unconsciosly hit my balls as i fell down, since they were SEVERELY sore and hurty for like five days. I couldn't move much the first day. I thought that it must be blue balls. This thing i've always heard about but never experienced. I thought this, since just that day i had been in the most sexual situation i had ever been in. I started RP:ing on discord with people who share all my filthy fetishes, and i was loving it and feeling the most turned on i had ever been. (Still didn't feel the need to masturbate though.) The next day, the pain was smaller but still nagging at me. I had read that the best way to get rid of it was to mastubate. Before i get to that, i must say that it clearly wasn't blue balls since the masturbation didn't help at all and it still persisted for a few days. And now for these 2-3 weeks however long it's been, i've continued to RP and make friends with lovely people who share my fetishes.

Ok, so now for my experience and thoughts. Might get a bit TMI. But the TLDR is: i didn't enjoy it. All my life i've presumed that i can't masturbate since i feel literally no pleasure from the actual stroking (probably due to my severe phimosis. Which also means it hurts a tiny bit.) But it turned out i was able to cum. The pleasure didn't come just automatically from the stroking, but i also had to be properly turned on. (i was RP:ing while i did it) and my question is: how was i supposed to know? You can't just google "how to masturbate" everyone is just kinda expected to know it? Well i didn't. From experience i thought it was biologically impossible for me to do. When i came, i was kinda dissapointed. An orgasm is this mystical thing. I was always kinda scared that if and when i experienced it for the first time i would love it and form an addiction to it. But no. It was just meh. The feeling of having my legs go all shaky and jello as i was about to cum was way more distracting and kinda awfull feeling than what i'd call "good." And, TMI warning, as it was my first time, i wasn't fully prepared for the actual cumming. So lets just say the bathroom rug had to be washed thoroughly.

I don't know, maybe i would like it more if i did it a few more times. But based on the first time, i don't feel like trying it again. I have been growing more and more sexual this last month as i've been talking and RP:ing with my fetish kin, but i'm still definately an ace and aro.

I really hate that society is so mum on masturbation, like everyone's just supposed to figure it out on their own based on innuendo.  I tried for years just fumbling around, not enjoying a moment of it, doing what I thought people did.  I'm a female so I can't really give much advice for men, but for me two things were key: sex toys and lubrication.  Vibrators were a godsend (I still get almost nothing out of touching myself with my own fingers), and dildos to a lesser degree (I still don't want them to look anything like a penis...eww).  For years I could only successfully masturbate in the shower - that started because I had roommates and it masked the sound of the vibrator, and discovered the lubrication made things 10 times easier.  Really, rubbing your genitalia while dry is extremely uncomfortable and the opposite of enjoyable.  The bigger picture was I had to let go of my ideas of what was expected, what I'd heard was "supposed" to happen.  I had to find things that felt good to ME, and my orgasms felt nothing like I'd been led to believe.  They were disappointing and disgusting at first.  I stopped chasing "orgasm" and just experimented with what felt good.  If it felt good, do more of it, if it started to be tedious, stop.

Anyways, none of this is to say you have to learn to masturbate or do it if you don't want to.  That kind of anxiety just ruins the whole thing and ensures a bad experience.  I'm sure there's more in-depth guides and stuff that ISN'T just porn out there - maybe someone else will know.

@Lad_Bloche, slightly off the masturbation topic, but you may want to talk to your doctor about the phimosis. In the wrong circumstances it could result in either strangulation of the glans, the foreskin tearing or worse.

I encourage you to avoid getting the circumcision done. It just so happens that I am also a member of the Intactivism Network forums. I encourage you to join these forums, start a thread, and ask the people within the forums how to avoid the circumcision. I ensure you that they will provide you with all of the help that you need. It is in your own best interest to refrain from cutting off a normal, healthy body part.

Phimosis can be fixed without cutting with the use of steroid creams

@John Flushing sorry for responding this late. But why are you against circumcision exactly? Like you said, it is a normal healthy body part, but it does nothing. If it does nothing, why is cutting it a bad thing? And i would much rather get circumsized and let it heal than spend a couple months aplying some cream daily, i just dont have the time for that in my schedule.

A man's breast nipple does nothing. Nevertheless, to cut off a man's breast nipple, is always a bad thing. It is my opinion, that to cut off a normal body part is always a bad thing, regardless of whether said body part has a function. I would rather apply the steroid creams for (x) number of months, than be without my normal body part for the rest of my life.

Quick clarification to the post above. Whilst, under normal circumstances (there are always exceptions to every rule), male breasts don't secrete milk, so in that sense nipples don't work in the same way as a nursing female's, they are still sensitive, and for some an erogenous area.
