Jarle
Hi all, We received the following from Ian from the University of Sunderland: Quote I'm conducting a PhD in the school of psychology at the University of Sunderland which will examine societal attitudes towards asexuality and people who are asexual. The initial step in this research is to conduct a focus group/s in order to discuss experiences of asexuality and to critique currently available measures of attitudes towards asexuality. The data gathered from the focus groups will be used to inform items in a new measure of attitudes towards asexuality. The measurement will be used in the second stage of the project to understand attitudes towards asexuality from a larger sample drawn from the general UK public. The results could identify engagement and education opportunities leading to the asexual community feeling less ostracised and misunderstood. These focus groups will be held in Newcastle upon Tyne or Sunderland. please contact me on the below details for more information should you wish to participate. Kindest regards Ian J Young 07805383522weareclu@blueyonder.co.uk If you're interested in participating and are based in the UK, please contact the research through the details above. As always when meeting someone face-to-face from the internet, put your safety first. This study has been approved by the Research Approval Board.
