Topi
I listen to pretty much any language in music. Actually, I used to go to random country generators to choose which country's music I would listen to and then find playlists on YouTube to listen too. Or just look for world music playlists and listen to them. To me what's important is the music, not the language. It's the feelings I can feel through the music and not language. Actually I prefer not understanding the lyrics, which people can't understand and find weird. Not understanding the language, I don't get distracted while doing stuff.

CelesteAdAstra
I love discovering artists that sing in any language! Especially folk music from the respective country, but I love many genres of music. Welsh, my linguistic love: Eve Goodman Spoiler Latvian: Auļi & Tautumeitas Spoiler Hebrew: Light in Babylon Spoiler Breton: Nolwenn Leroy Spoiler Kazakh: Гаухартас Spoiler French: Cecile Corbel Spoiler Swedish: Triakel Spoiler Finnish: Indica Spoiler Icelandic: Sólstafir Spoiler Māori: Alien Weaponry (metal band from New Zealand) Spoiler I also love medieval/pagan bands which often sing in various languages, some of them extinct. Some of these bands are: Saltatio Mortis Omnia Faun Estampie ... Spoiler Some great metal bands in other languages: Fejd (Swedish) Arkona (Russian) Skálmöld (Icelandic) Ewigheim (German) Eluveitie (sometimes Gaulish) Bucovina (Romanian)

- Saph -
For those who don't really wish to understand but are interrested in the melodic aspects there is Sigur Rós (Icelandic, alt folk). Usually in French, the instrumental is only secundary and the lyrics are the most important. It can be a bit boring to listen if you don't understand them. I started following more Belgian artists recently: some have pretty bold ideas like Angèle "Balance Ton Quoi" over the #metoo movement. If you have heard about Stromae (Belgian, electro pop) you may be interrested in Jacques Brel (Belgian, chanson française, 60's). Both him and Jean Jacques Goldman (French, 80's) have nice lyrics, sometimes translated on Youtube. Rap is a huge scene but a lot of artists have some violent/sexual/sexist songs. On the safe side, I would recommend the poetic rapper Mc Solaar (French, 90's) . In rock you have bands like Téléphone (French, 80s), Mass Hysteria (French, anarchist metal), Matmatah (French, folk rock from Bretagne), Superbus (French, female pop rock),...

I used to listen to J-pop too when I was a anime fan. I switched to mangas/manwhas because they are quicker to read but I miss the upbeat music.

ukrguy
I recommend you all to listen some of Ukrainian most shazamed music. I am sure you know at least one song from here - Plakala (She cried) by Kazka. P.S if you need me to write down the cyrillic name of any singer - just give me the time stamp and I will help you! Morgan123
Alvaro Soler is my Spanish recommendation (my old teacher used to love him- we ended up learning all the words to his songs and blasting them out during lessons). La Femme is a good French band- bit weird, but hey ho. I think someone else said Stromai, which I definitely second. And Little Big for Russian (I challenge anyone to learn the dance- you'll know the one I mean...)
