1984. I was born at the end of the year, so I’m 34. It starts at 35 in the poll, though.

I was born after the summer when everything exciting happened, like man walking on the moon for the first time. Worse, I missed Halloween by nearly a month. sigh.

1981, the first model year of the Ford Escort and Mercury Lynx and the K-cars, not to mention the last model year for the ill-fated Chrysler R-body cars. I turned 38 in July.

 

My age group is sometimes called the Oregon Trail generation, but I don't think the game was even available in my elementary school classrooms so Apple II generation would be more fitting for me. That's the platform the game was usually played on.
