Some of us play video games frequently, but not everyone play games of similar quality. This is a poll to find out the quality of the game you play based on reviews.

Quality based on whose scale?  Ours?

 

Because I happen to play Fallout 76 and find it enjoyable even though it's been critically panned just about everywhere.

76 is probably the most panned game that I play.  Conversely, nearly everyone else seems to adore Breath of the Wild but I thought it was shit.  Lots of people also adore Final Fantasy 7, but I thought it was just okay.

 

Other than those three major discrepancies (those are the only ones coming to mind right now, anyway) I feel like I mostly fall in line with the "average/good" opinions of most games I play, so I'll say a seven.

Strange, I selected 9/10 but it's not showing my vote.

 

From my quick google research of 22 games I was surprised to find that the majority of them were rated 9/10

  • 15 9/10 games
  • 5 8/10 games
  • 1 7/10 game

While I didn't research every game I've played, I tried to choose a good number of games I've enjoyed playing. I'm curious to see what sort of games receive 10/10 ratings. It seems like a pretty high bar considering just how great some of the 9/10 games were.

I don't particularly care about ratings, as I care more of how I perceive and enjoy a game than professional critic opinions. For example the 7/10 game was Mass Effect Andromeda, and while I know many people didn't enjoy it, I personally found it very enjoyable and would put it up with the other 8/10 games I've played.

Probably 8/10 overall. Rome II and Attila had some pretty annoying flaws when they first came out but Rome at least has been updated. Transport Fever was amazing from the off, but user-made content has made it even better; could do with better traffic systems but not essential. Niche is pretty good, could do with more content/stuff to do as it gets very samey. Dawn of Man is currently my favourite game, I've played 400+ hours in a couple of months; nuff said.

I only played one PC game in the last 7 years, pro cycling manager 2012. Metacritic give reviewer average of 68 and user average 7.3/10 

I think that is fair rating.

Mostly highly rated games and nowadays I start by getting mods before I even make a character. I recently got Oblivion and proceeded to get bugfixes and de-potatoing the NPCs.
