@Crazycrazycultist, they're about, or just a little bit larger than a domestic shorthair, and can breed with domestic cats, which is why pure wildcats are so rare (at the last count there were 35 left, plus these two)

This southeast Asian cicada!  Tacua speciosa.  One of the largest cicadas in the world.  But it can only be found in Singapore, Malaysia, and parts of Indonesia.

Lord Howe Island stick insect.  Thought to be extinct by 1920 but rediscovered in 2001.  As far as we know, only 24 of them still exist.
