About every three days sounds accurate. I would be weirded out by every single day people but not quite enough to say hyper sexual. I would say anything more than once daily is like WHOA THERE

I put more than 4 times a day is hyper sexual cause who even has the time for 5 times a day.

I mean 4 times a day yeah I could squeeze that in...but 5 times that’s just going too far.

Gosh I’d be so sore and exhausted. Ain’t nobody squeezing in after twice!

I'm not sexual, but I think hypersexuality is less determined by how many times you physically have sex and more by whether or not your life is negatively impacted. Like, do you have/want sex so much that your partner can't keep up and your relationship suffers (leaving asexuality out of it, I mean), does it negatively affect your social life or work, does it keep your from making good life choices. Are you too preoccupied with sexual thoughts to actually live your life.

As someone with a very high libido, I can admit that I've bailed on plans before because I was horny and wanted to stay home instead. Not often, but I imagine if I let that become a regular thing, you could file me into the hypersexual category.

(Maybe this is too serious an answer for this post, lol.)

I would think hypersexual would be someone who's in therapy for sex addiction, pretty much. But, twice a day, every day, seems like it'd fit. (That said, with my comment about addiction, addiction isn't necessarily about frequency, but about the effects on the person physically and mentally and whether or not they keep doing something despite negative consequences, etc.)

I still haven't voted but I'm leaning towards disGraceful's response as well. Obviously there are certain times when four times a day isn't going to classify a person as hypersexual overall (haven't seen your partner in a long time, new relationship, on your honeymoon, whatever), but if someone had been in a relationship and lived with their partner for 18 years and still wanted to bang two to four times a day, every single day, I'd probably consider that hypersexual. It would take a decent amount of effort to allot time for that much sex.

Yeah, exceptions can definitely be made but everyday life is another thing.

Excellent point. I think I agree.

I chose "Other" because it's more like a few times a year for me.

And I said that "once a day" constitutes hypersexual, because, well, idk.  I probably don't have an accurate idea of how much sex people actually have.

Read that the average is 1.6 times per week. I'm gonna go for therapy for sex addiction. I don't see anything wrong with sex 3 times per day though I can't really imagine doing that, even if I was sexual. I mean, where and when do you even have the time to do that, and wouldn't you get exhausted since sex can be very physical?

I think if someone is really wanting sex multiple times a day, every day, in a long-established relationship, that's at least indicative of a higher than normal sex drive.

I don’t think most men could do more than once a day every single day without experiencing erectile dysfunction or problems ejaculating. Even if they wanted to, that’s a LOT on the body. Like @CBC said, there’s going to be times where there’s a lot of sex and maybe more than once every day for a while, such as a honeymoon or after being apart for a while. (And it’s obviously going to fluctuate because people don’t have strict sex schedules.) But as a day to day thing, I would say it’s probably pretty rare to be at it more than every night. I know married couples who would scoff at the idea of sex every night - 365 days a year. I know some long term couples who go weeks to months without sex simply because LIFE. Work, social life, etc. can mean that they’re too tired once they’re alone together. They’re not going to cancel plans or take off work because they want a sexathon. That would be indicative of sex addiction.

Are sexathons a thing? Like do people put aside the odd day just to have nookie all day?

I’m pretty sure the heterosexual men in my life would choke at the idea of having sex twice a day every single day.

The late Countdown host Richard Whiteley was known as "Twice nightly" due to his alleged bedroom desires, and this was thought at the time to be rather extreme.

To question 1 I put other, a.k.a none, because everyone should be able to express their opinions, whether speaking from personal experience or anecdotal evidence

I mean, if we're talking hypersexuality as the actual disorder and not just 'wow that person likes to get laid, lol,' then yeah. Especially because it encompasses more than just having a lot of partnered sex, it can also mean excessive masturbation, porn addiction, compulsive sexual thoughts, etc.
