I was at a college, although here in 'Murica "college" means any higher education. I was a music man.

I went to a university, specifically WSU or Washington State University. Loved it there. I was first majoring in Animal Science. Always wanted to be a veterinarian. I didn't want to work with farm animals (which was the main focus), but they didn't have a companion animal-type major. They did have a class on it. Did well with most classes for it except the 101 one. Realized it wasn't for me, then decided to try and get a general degree since I wasn't sure what to switch to. I had to choose between taking Econ 101 or Anthropology 101. I was scared of econ, which I'm not sure why now. Fell in love with anthropology and switched to that. I was doing really well in all my classes for it.

Then, I was hospitalized for a really awful case of pneumonia and had to take a semester off. A year later, I was hospitalized again this time with blood clots in my lungs (I had 6000x the norm clotting factor and nearly died again), so I had to take another semester off. Eventually, they told me I was sick too often and couldn't come back for at least a year. I think that was in 2008. I never went back. I was pissed that I was forced out. I could have finished my major. I wanted to focus on Cultural or Linguistics. Now, it just costs way too much for me to go back. I have a lot of student loan debt as it is. I wish it had been free. If it were, I would have gone back at some point easily. I'm only bitter towards their health and wellness director. He wasn't very pleasant in general.

Again, I loved my time there. Made a ton of friends, went to quite a bit of parties (never/still don't drink, except when friends said I should try on my 19th birthday), was apart of the Cougar Marching Band (until I had an accident a couple of years before I left), the food at the cafeterias was great (they had a Culinary Arts department, and often those students would cook up the dishes), loved most classes, etc. I was in the dorms my entire time there. The 2nd dorm was where most students that majored in Animal Science lived. It was great living with people who had a similar interest like that. I stayed in that dorm the longest. There were 2 others. I had one 'problem' roommate. I was their roommate for a short time, but they harassed me so much I had to move. The others were mostly great.

As I understand it, there is no university here (all colleges/higher learning institutions are privately run), so I went to college. Specifically, I took the art, theatre, and German language classes that I wanted to take, and that was that. I never planned to finish a degree, and I didn't.

Went to uni and did a BA and MA in archaeology. If I graduated for my masters one year later I could've had an MSc, because that year they finally decided we have been doing actual scienc-y stuff for that specialisation all along
