Joe the Stoic Posted January 27, 2019 Share Posted January 27, 2019 This is a picture I took of the NC Democratic Party State Executive Committee (SEC) meeting today. For those not in the know, the SEC is the governing body that decides how the Democratic Party in North Carolina is run. Our 1st Vice Chair was kind of a crook. While serving as an officer of the party statewide, she worked for pay on the campaigns of Democrats in primary races against other Democrats, a big no-no. She was challenged today (as we had state party officer elections) by an outgoing member of the state legislature and soundly defeated, 59% to 30%. I was in that 59%. There is a lot that is screwed up in politics, even in the Democratic Party, but today was a day where the right side actually won. Link to post Share on other sites
