A little poll and hopefully friendly debate over Architectural Styles.

I am aware that the choices have a Euro-American bias, sorry about that. This also is particularly concerned with serious architectural styles, so it excludes more common styles. I may have missed some styles so please comment if that is so, however I did combine some styles since they seem really close to each other.

I know I skip from Classical Architecture right into the Renaissance very quickly, sorry about that.

Love Gothic Revival.

architectural style is often less important to me than context and situation. A modern steel and glass building looks fine around other modernist styles but (as our local public school have done) looks horrible jammed in next to a C19 stone gothic revival old church and a classical brick edifice

I love Mediterranean and Futuristic architecture. Also if it counts I’ve always found concrete parking structures to be beautiful since I like how they’re gray and shady. I find them relaxing and peaceful(at least when there’s nobody driving around in them).

everywhere and nowhere

I don't know enogh about architectural styles. All I know is that I vastly prefer older architecture to modern steel & glass buildings. I don't like modern skyscrapers. I also have a weakness for some more colourful and imaginative architecture, such as buildings by Gaudi, Hundertwasser...

There's also a crazy hotel called Republic of Imagination in the town of Mirosławiec in Poland. Actually, it can be seen that it was created on the basis of an ultra-simple and boring house, but they decorated it with paintings, strange fences, ad the result is crazy to the extreme:

Very interesting on the train entering London (UK)  curious shapes and glass everywhere and then, peeping through all this modernity, an old church or something.

That's very interesting to me, I think opposite, I love the contrast between different styles, to me it reminds people where we came from and where we are now and how both are important.

To each his own. I really like Brutalism; particularly Le Corbusier's works and Habitat 67.

I'm a huge fan of East Asian architecture, early twentieth century Western styles (art nouveau, art deco, arts and crafts), and postmodernist innovations.
