I've been ace for several years now, but for a long time just assumed it was a symptom of mental health stuff (and/or the meds for that), and only slowly come to see it as part of myself. Recently I've been thinking I'd like to explore what it means as part of my identity, and chat with people in the same boat, so I've ended up here. I'm lucky enough to live right near a meetup, so I'll try and make it along (though I'm kinda nervous). Right now, though, I just wanted to say hi. Link to post Share on other sites

I was in a very poly/sexually-exploring group of friends, and I just kinda realised mid-orgy that I was bored by the whole thing, and had been for a long time, and I've just not really had any interest since. That was, uh, best part of a decade ago. I was aware of asexuality before, but it took a long time to move from 'huh, not been in the mood for a while' to 'don't want it, don't want to want it'.
