So I noticed a poll here asking about people's favorite elements (as in earth, water, fire, etc.), and I'm sure I wasn't the only one whose expectations were a bit different from what we got. So here's another poll, asking the same question but more scientifically.

My favourite is phosphorus. It’s really interactive and interesting, as well as being part of some of my favourite compounds. Plus I’m reading a book on it right now.

Gallium is a close second due to its ability to melt in your hand. I also like Yttrium because my teacher was one of the first to work with it, promethium due to its use in fighter jets, Iridium due to its iridescent properties, Mendelevium because of its name, and Moscovium because it’s interesting :)

Can you tell I like Chemistry?

I like Aether personally. Call me old fashioned if you will.

Beryllium based lifeforms would explode if they entered our atmousphere. That's why that's muh fave.

I liked tennessine when it was just called ununseptium, but I guess my favorite is xenon because I think the noble gases are cool and also it has an X which is a cool letter

How are we counting isotopes? Do I vote Hydrogen if I'd like to vote Tritium? (That might be misleading in the overall numbers though, as Hydrogen's way less interesting 😕 )

A vote for hydrogen would include all of its isotopes. It's up to you whether or not you think tritium is good enough to make up for regular hydrogen being less interesting.

Haha, alright, fair enough! :D

Given that'll also net me Deuterium, I guess I'll run with it ;)

Fusion reactor here I come!

Neon, because uh, yeah it glowy and bismuth cause the structure is gorgeous! (For real look it up)

As an Ace, logic would suggest a Noble gas, but logic is boring, so Titanium, because you can make fun things from it

One of my favourite is the element W otherwise known as Tungsten.

Most because of the utter lack of link between sign and name.

Tungsten or atomic symbol W due to its many uses in manufacturing for various things and it's incredible near indestructibility.

Am I seriously the only person who put gallium? Come on. It's literally a metal that melts in your hands.

As a geologist, I have a deep respect for silicon.  It makes up most of the Earth's crust.  Virtually every rock contains it.
