I'm 14 years old and I think I'm asexual

Hey, I'm new here and lately I've been questioning about my sexuality, which led me here. I don't necessarily identify myself with anything at the moment, but I think I may actually be asexual. Most of the time I feel like the odd one out when it comes to sexual things. It doesn't phase me at all. I don't get "horny", I don't find people "hot" regardless of what they look like, and sex doesn't appeal to me and honestly seems a bit irrelevant when it comes to relationships. I've looked at pornography before and I was not aroused by it at all.

I'm a 14 year old girl and I'm just very confused about my identity at the moment. Am I asexual? Could I just be a late bloomer?

You could be asexual. It's also possible that you will develop sexual feelings in the future, but it's okay to identify as asexual if it fits now.

@Aesthetii Welcome to AVEN!

Your feelings might change in the future, though I realised that I'm Asexual at around 14.

Incidentally, it is a tradition here to welcome new members by offering cake,

An asexual is a person who’s never felt sexual attraction. This is a feeling of desire towards a person to have sexual contact with them. I think 13 is the time when people can start to understand their sexuality, even asexuality. I say this because that’s when puberty usually is and people can start feeling sexual attraction at any age in their life so there’s not much point in the late bloomer thing

This is not something you have to "decide".  If you are not interested in sex, that is fine If that changes later, that is fine too.  Some people's sexuality is well established by the time they are 14, for others it takes a lot longer.

Honestly, sounds incredibly similar to my experiences when I was coming to terms about my sexuality (I was also fourteen). If you don't find porn arousing and don't find anyone particularly attractive, I think it's fairly safe to say you're asexual. It's possible you're a late bloomer, but also statistically unlikely. But as a lot of people have said, even if it does change down the line, you wouldn't be 'wrong' to identify as asexual at the moment, given what you've said.

You could very well be Asexual, I just found out not long ago that i'm ace and I'm 15. You might also be Aromantic if you don't find people attractive.

“You might be aromantic if you’ve never disired to have a romantic relationship with anyone”*  I think what you’re referencing to is aesthetic attraction
