phoebebuffay
I always wanted to be a kids nurse, which now I am. I never thought I’d end up intensive care but yet I am and have been most of my nursing career, and have the privledge of caring for critically ill children and adults. Icu nursing is much different in Australia to The USA as well, as I’ve found American icu nurses have a different patient load and don’t take care of the ventilator, where as in Australia we are responsible for what ever piece of machinery is attached to the patient. I feel we have a little bit more control, and most icu nurses would agree we love control. If i could completely retrain in another field it would be something to do with forensics, be it anthropology, crash investigation, coroner or ?forensic investigation.
