Moment of ace realisation?

That titles terrible, but what I mean is has anyone else had a moment of realisation where you just release how much others care about sex and people aren’t just being hyperbolic? (For me it was when my friend opened his camera roll on his phone and there was like a whole gigabite of porn saved to his camera reel....)

When my friends started talking about kinks and other stuff along those lines while I sat there unable to say anything because I felt awkward and uncomfortable (they didnt understand why when I tried explaining)

Usually revolving around how much sex people say they have or want to have.
The realisation hits when my internal reaction is the thought that I'd be exhausted, yet they don't find the idea exhausting.

school mate, complaining about her newest boyfriend breakup, but talking about how she is mostly gonna miss the sex.  telling out loud '' i havn't had sex in 6 weeks!!'' 

and i'll be all sarcastic, ''6 weeks? can imagine what that feels like''

I’m just always assuming they are being hyperbolic in a sense. At least at school, cause ew. I don’t want to imagine anything of that *shudder*

 

But I always wonder why tf do people follow soft porn on social media and then thy have to awkwardly and very quickly scroll by the very obvious photos lol

I've had a couple, yeah. Granted, they all happened before I realized I was ace. One of them was the first time that I went to a family gathering was asked about a girlfriend by literally my entire family. All of them asked individually, and made the constant comments about being lonely and the like, and internally I was like, "That's fine." But the one time I've ever voiced that, I got tons of weird looks from everyone present, so I just don't say anything usually.

I am (most likely) demisexual so enjoy sex to an extent but I realize regularly how often I don't understand or enjoy sex jokes. It's like, well, whatever. Can't com eup with a specific example right now.

     I had several moments of confusion where I sort of realized I didn't feel sexual attraction, but the moment I really linked it to asexuality was during the summer, at midnight. I had stayed up late on my phone, and I had been questioning my sexuality quite a bit. I went to the bathroom, and I looked at myself in the mirror, when I thought, Wait. Wait a minute. What if I'm asexual? I had to Google the definition of sexual attraction, and it made so much sense! I had never felt that I wanted to have sex with anyone! I couldn't believe that all this time, most people had been feeling this, except me! 

     One time before that, a friend of mine had questioned me about crushes, and I didn't have any, so I said so. But then she asked me if there is anyone I'd like to "do." I was at a loss for what to say. I couldn't think of anybody, except one person I had forced myself to imagine having sex with. I'm sure she must have an inkling that I'm asexual.

Last night my roommate said he had sex for five hours. 5 hours! That sounds exhausting to me, but he seemed pretty proud of himself

The feeling of asexuality absolutely increases when people talk about how having sex two times a week is too little. If that's what relationships should be about, I'll happily opt out.
