Guest
Okay, question. So, my brother asked me the other day like what should he have his kids call me if he ends up getting any. I'm like agender and all, so I'd appreciate greatly not being called uncle or something... is there any gender neutral word or something I can use besides my name?
Yep, me
Here’s something I found: ”pibling, meaning the “sibling of one’s parent.”
Mezzo Forte
I remember a character using the term 'Auncle' in a webcomic I read some years ago (Shades of A, though I forget what page) but haven't heard of any terms other than that.
soda59
I would just have them call you by your name, or maybe a cute nickname version of it. I can't think of a gender neutral version of aunt or uncle that kids could really use.
Mezzo Forte
Oh, come to think of it, I have a friend whose nieces/nephews call her Titi, and I think that's seen as a neutral alternative to the Spanish tío/tía. (Never thought about that because my friend does not come from a Latinx background. I'm not sure if her nieces/nephews came up with that term or if she did either.)
Guest
That works for me @Mezzo Forte since I got Latin America in my fam. Thanks!
