SherylB120 Posted February 24, 2018 Share Posted February 24, 2018 Hi All! This is my first post. I discovered asexuality when I heard the "A" attached to the LGBT acronym and I was curious. When I looked it up and did some research, I was so relieved to finally find where I "fit in" because I have never fit in anywhere. I was in a relationship and marriage for over 27 years, but I hated sex...anything to do with it. I also hated to be touched including holding hands, arm around shoulders, etc. I knew that fact as a young teenager and my first kiss, which I was disgusted over, but thought I was wrong in my thinking and feelings. My spouse (now ex-spouse) called me the most horrible names and treated me like scum, unless he wanted sex. I have been told by many that they thought we were the "perfect marriage", Ha! Since I met him when I was just 16 and he was my only real relationship, I didn't know better. I felt broken. I felt trapped. I had small kids when we first talked divorce and I had a crappy job. He threatened to take the kids. After the kids were grown and I could support myself we finally divorced. Too Many wasted years! When I discovered this group I became free, content, and happy with myself. Now I know I'm okay. Thank You! Link to post Share on other sites
