zoetrope98 Posted February 20, 2018 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Hi everyone! My wonderful friend directed me to this community, and I just found this welcome section. I'm very happy to get the chance to meet and hear from other asexuals since I just started using the term recently. I've always felt that I had qualities of asexualities but didn't even know there was an orientation for it. Some days I struggle with the burdening feeling of never finding a companion, but I have some really close friends (mostly non-ace) that support me. I'm just recently learning the scope of my asexuality, and so far I would define myself as someone who doesn't want sex but enjoys non-sexual physical contact (cuddling, playing with hair, rubbing arm, etc.). Besides that, I'm currently double majoring in college in advertising and ethnic studies. I'm mostly consumed with school, and I don't go out that much, but I'm hoping to make some new friends through AVEN. I can already tell this community is very welcoming.
