Flump222
So, I was just wondering if this is a normal thing. First thing, I'm a guy, and I know that I'm somewhere on the ace spectrum (I'm too lazy to go any further and just call myself ace). When it comes to sex, it's the act itself that arouses me. However, I do find myself getting aroused when I imaging an act from the female perspective, rather than the male one. Sometimes I get even more aroused from the female perspective. This is a confusing thing for me, considering that I have absolutely NO attraction to males whatsoever. Is this a normal (ace) thing, and has anyone had similar feelings? Lost247365
I wouldn't call it an ace thing at all. It's more of a Crossdreamer thing. Of course, one can be both an ace and a crossdreamer. Asexuality is simply lacking the capacity to experience sexual attraction and/or desire. Being aroused by imagining yourself from the other sex's perspective really doesn't figure into it. However, what you describe is definitely an aspect of being a crossdreamer. Crossdreamers are people who experience frequent (and often arousing) fantasies about being the opposite sex/gender. It is also known as autogynephilia, however, that term has a very problematic past and probably best not used. For more information check out this great site:http://www.crossdreamers.com/2008/01/readers-guide-to-confessions-of.htmlIt also has a forum about crossdreaming:https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/crossdreamlife/ As an asexual crossdreamer, myself, I can completely understand where you are coming from. So you are not alone. In fact, there are other crossdreamers in this forum and at the sites I linked.
WoodwindWhistler
Wow, thanks for those links, that is very helpful. I have been pretty confused as to why I am fine with my body, but the things I find the most sexually interesting are wielding the opposite.

I read some of the information on the website and it's very interesting. One of the things I really enjoy about AVEN is learning about new things like this.
Tofruity
Wow this makes a lot of sense. I used to wonder as a teen why my "fantasies" seemed to be from a male perspective even though I don't identify as lesbian and certainly don't feel trans.
