this thread is dedicated simply to putting in posts that can be used as a reference (quote, link, copy-and-paste) when speaking with questioning individuals and new members about commonly asked about topics. 

 

please try to use this thread with intentionality, to only post educational threads that are framed to explain an answer to a common question. if you feel a need to criticize any values in this thread, please create a seperate thread to discuss that - we want this thread to be an FAQ in readability. 

 

please make sure that you seek to post FAQ answers which you feel experienced in answering. an answer which you have given multiple times before, and know that it was well-received. 

 

and there's no need to fret about completing it asap - basically when a question comes up that you've answered a tonne times before, come here and check if the answer was posted by another frequenter of this thread, and if not, create a post with the normal response you always give and then link/copypasta/quote it to the new member's thread asking about it  

 

 

the goal ultimately is to have this look and feel like a quality faq, despite being casually put together  

 

the following posters who post in this thread are open to receivnig a private message on requests to modify any of their posts to be clearer or more informative or inclusive or other such critiques or requests:
