The concept of an asexual spectrum somewhat baffles me. How I understand it, is a spectrum of sexuality of which asexual is one item on the spectrum, If you were to define the spectrum where 0 is nil and 1 is the most highest ever, asexual would be 0 and allosexual 1.  ie asexual has no sexual attraction at all and everything else has some even if it is not as much as allosexual . Therefore, everything that is higher than 0 is sexual. Any way, that is how I understand it. You could say it is my opinion and there may be some who disagree here. Those people are entitled to disagree and may wish to say they are on the asexual spectrum which they are entitled to do. if anyone who does disagree wishes to explain that may be nice. 

 

Also, I think that some of those you listed above are types of others. eg. Demisexual is a type of graysexual. I identify as greyromantic because I'm not quite sure what type of grayromantic I am. I could be demiromantic or quoiromantic or lithromantic. (Now I'm wondering if Lithsexual is a thing and can be added to your list.

Yep, there is actually no ace spectrum. Just a sexuality spectrum. People use "ace spectrum" when they want to refer to the end closer to the ace end. But if a person isn't ace, they are sexual. It's just that some sexual people feel more like aces than a supposed "full" sexual so they find it more fulfilling to be looped in with the aces.

I think of sexuality in terms of the periodic table. Why not? I worked as a chemist for 28 years. The majority of elements in the table are metals. These seem to represent heterosexuals. The LGBT community are the non-metals like Nitrogen and Sulfur. The asexual part would be the noble gasses like Helium, Neon and even Radon. Xenon is the only one which actually combines with another element. The rest of them are content to exist as single atoms. A silly comparison but I'm a silly person.

It's important to remember that a lot of the labels used by many in this community to identify aspects of the 'asexual spectrum' are actually representative of very normal sexual behavior (cupiosexual is one example, freysexual another, demisexual also). These labels came more from a general understanding in the asexual community of what regular sexuality is like than anything else.
