Did more cleaning, and, some laundry.

Tomorrow, meeting some friends for lunch, some antiquing, and buying blueberries. (We're at the peak, for blueberries, in New Jersey)

I freeze them, in batches, and use them in the winter for that taste of summer. :)

Winter in my piece of subtropical paradise feels like everywhere else's early spring. Pleasant, but leaving me wanting a colder winter season. It only feels wintry when overcast, but at least it means more time for diving throughout the year.

...is what I'd be saying if I weren't procrastinating over the scuba course I've been yearning to do since childhood. 😅

While I can readily imagine visiting a subtropical paradise, I can't imagine living in one.

What's life like, there?

Funnily enough, the Gold Coast is basically Australia's answer to Florida, and it attracts tourists from all over throughout the year. Aside from similar landscape and weather, it has a number of Australia's major theme parks in one place (the "Big Three" - Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World and Wet 'n Wild - plus DreamWorld, White Water World, Paradise Country and Timezone, among others), and a fair number of suburbs share names with places in Florida, with Miami being one notable example.

Believe it or not, we even have our own Spring Break-esque two-week event in the second half of November known as Schoolies, which is the one time of year I avoid Surfers Paradise! 😜

Here it still takes a few weeks before they are ready. This year the yield will possibly be not that good. I have some blueberries left from the last summer (in my freezer, of course) but this year I am afraid I cannot find them as much as I would like to.

Cool! I was visiting friends, who live 2 hrs. outside Sydney, in January 2018. Amazing place.

That would have been nice! I hear Costa Rica is gorgeous. Why "almost"?

Patience is a virtue. :P Hope the yield is good, for you!

It will be good at least for mosquitos when I go to the forest to pick them (berries, not mosquitos). 😄

If it's what you want to do, I hope it comes through, for you!

Deet's the best (the ingredient in Deep Woods Off). Repel: Lemon-Eucalyptus is good too, if you want something more natural.

By the way, is a net hat natural? 😉

What do you people think?

I prefer OFF! with any strong smelling oil.

Masks any scent your body produces so mosquitoes don't consider you a tasty snack.

Also go when it is windy even a little, this makes it even harder for mosquitoes to find and bite you.

Sometimes I have felt so frustrated with some mainly sexual male gays that I have almost decided to become straight... because of their superficiality, because of their sexuality (of course) and because of their behavior that I have never been able to understand at all (that's maybe just my personal shortcoming).

I am wondering if anyone else have similar experiences...

I started to watch it on Wednesday and now watched the rest of it. It is so painful and beautiful at the same time. I wish I could cry...

I watched the movie again. It's my obsession...

Not bad @ColeHW. Didn't do much. Made plans, then just sat around all day instead.

Found more laundry, and brought a few things down from upstairs.

Getting ready to pick a movie.

How about you?

Sat on my butt listening to music, watching firework fails, monitoring California, and gobbling up ribs.

The usual.

Sounds good.

I've been watching "restore faith in humanity" type vids, on youtube. Gives me the warm fuzzies.

That, and playing Chicken Invaders 5. :P

I try not to do much gobbling, as I'm down about 100 lbs. :P

I'll spend my evening just cuddling with my dogs to comfort them.

The rednecks should start firing off mortar shells any minute.
