Forgot to mention I'm also a little baby-faced. I remember back in high school (wow, ANOTHER one of Zack's high school memories...), I was with three of my female friends during lunch. One of them said to me, "Y'know, you're kind of cute." I looked at her and asked, "Cute-cute or baby-cute?" They all looked at each other, then back at me before saying in unison, "Baby cute!" Here I am 15 years later and they'd still probably think of me in that way. 😆

 

@Antihero. Oh, don't get me started on moustaches! If someone has a moustache without at least a little tuft on their chin or underneath their bottom lip...well, it kind of weirds me out. And as for mutton chops... 😅

I used to frequently be mistaken for a girl on the phone, which is probably due to the fact that my voice didn't seem to deepen until my late 20s. Even now, my voice still gets a little high-pitched at times, like when I get excited or surprised, which probably contributes to my youthful demeanour.

 

Of course, the fact that I'm so into Nintendo - especially Mario, Pokémon and Splatoon - probably adds to my "manchildishness". I'm actually thinking of making full use of my YouTube channel at some point, which was going to be mostly Pokémon content (I'd probably pick my spirit animal, aka Nidoran♂ , as my mascot), but it may now be more focussed on Splatoon content since my recent obsession with that franchise.

I see that there's not much activity here so I actually have a question (not sure if it was already discussed already somewhere, sorry 😅) - what did realize first? That you're attracted to guys or that you're ace/on the asexual spectrum? As someone who's still trying to figure himself out, I'm curious

for me, attraction to men was first. but for long time I thought I just wasn't mature enough to actually want to have sex. well,  until I discovered asexuality when I was in my early 20s

As for me, the first thing I figured out was that I'm ace, since I'm not interested in sex at all. (I do have what I thought were fetishes, but they may in fact be "kinks", or whatever you call fetishes without the sexual component. I dunno, the whole concept baffles me...)

 

Then I started to realise I was attracted to other guys, which led to me thinking that I might actually be gay. Once I learned that homoromanticism is a thing a few months ago, I knew my orientation.

 

In summary:

asexual > homoromantic

I think it's this way for me too.. I started getting suspicious that me seeing guys differently and focusing on their looks was actually me attracted to them. I figured overtime I'd come to want sex, but after time passed and that feeling never came (and I found that I was disgusted by porn) I realized I'll probably never want to have sex.  Right now though I feel much more confident in the fact that I'm ace than in my attraction to guys.. I've had a few semi-romantic experiences but I've never had a boyfriend so a lot of my deliberation is based on hypothetical scenarios in my mind

For me my kink actually helped me realized I might be gay since it's only for guys

Same. I mean, I've only been sure about my romantic orientation for a few months, and it seems like I've become more aware of my attraction to other guys. I've always liked the idea of being in a relationship, and now that I know I'm homoromantic, it seems like a real possibility.

Same. I mean, I've only been sure about my romantic orientation for a few months, and it seems like I've become more aware of my attraction to other guys. I've always liked the idea of being in a relationship, and now that I know I'm homoromantic, it seems like a real possibility.

as for me, I don't need sex to be happy, and I don't understand what's the big deal about it. like, seriously. aren't there lots of more interesting things people can do? but, at the same time, I love the intimacy with my bf. I love snuggles, kisses, holding hands, sleeping together etc., (only with him) but that would be enough to keep me perfectly happy. he's quite similar to me in that matter, but I also know he enjoys having sex with me, so I can really sacrifice myself sometimes and it's not that big deal because he’s the love of my life.

 

but one thing gets me confused, too:

looking at some guys that are 'my type' causes me a certain body reaction, even though I really can't imagine doing things with them.

being physically close with my bf affects me in the same way.

I do have some fantasies, too, but they never involve me in person. if I try to imagine myself in it, something immediately feels wrong  so I figured out I must be quite aegosexual beyond all my gay aceness.

I definitely recognised my asexuality first, at around 13/14, even if I didn't have a word for it at the time. I didn't realise I was homoromantic until I was 20 though 😂. I did grow up in a very conservative village in the countryside though, so I think I repressed my gayness as a defence mechanism 😝.

I absolutely agree with all the stuff about kissing and cuddling and stuff! 😃 I was also fine compromising sexually with my now ex, but he didn't like that I didn't want it for myself. He said it was "animalistic" and was "depriving him of love". Oh well 🙃 

It's nice to hear there are people out there who don't think sex is the be-all and end-all of a relationship, and it's awesome that you and your boyfriend are happy! 👍

I honestly don't know if others find me attractive. I mean, the only comments I get about my appearance are that I look younger than my actual age, but youthfulness/baby face does not necessarily equal attractiveness. Until proven otherwise, I just assume that I look "average at best". Nothing wrong with that, right?

 

Of course, I'm no narcissist. If someone thinks I'm cute, I'll accept the compliment, but I'm not concerned about trying to make myself look perfect. I am who I am, and I'd like a partner who likes me for who I am, both inside and out.

 

If they happen to like gaming, that's just a bonus!

regarding attractiveness, I  (unfortunately) know I'm rather being seen as attractive. I know androgynous men aren't everyone's thing, but I've heard compliments and such quite often, and also I tend to be a target for really creepy men.  of course all they want is sex. oh well.

 

just this year at least for dudes confessed love to me, and in the past there were some guys who told me they thought they were straight,  but I made them question their sexuality anyway. lawl.

 

I can be a bit vain when it comes to my appearance, though. I'm not even sure if all goth dudes are like that
