The Current Training Team

As announced in April, the Admod team has implemented a Training Team. The Training Team consists of 3 to 4 ex-Admods, who have been vetted both by current Admods and the Board of Directors. The Training Team's job consists of training new Admods in buttons, policy, procedure, and communications both with members and fellow Admods. They also offer support to current and/or older Admods, offering perspective on past policy, past procedure, or Admods history in general. The Training Team is also tasked with creating and maintaining Admods training manuals and important Admods threads, and they also help to mediate between Admods if a problem or argument arises.

 

To do these jobs, the Training Team has access to Admods and modly buttons. However they take no part in disciplinary discussions beyond reminding current Admods of policy or procedure, nor does the Training Team take part in any policy discussion unless the policy directly relates to the Training Team. The members of the Training Team are held to the same privacy standards as Admods and can be removed from their post for breaching sensitive information. They cannot use buttons (other than for training purposes in a training thread in the Admods Only forum) to split, merge, hide, or move any post or thread. They cannot use ACP buttons (other than for training purposes) to do anything in the ACP such as ban a member, create a forum, add a member to (h)AVEN, etc. The Training Team also cannot have official communications with members, nor can they give nudges or warnings.

 

There are 2 to 3 Training Team members who have only mod buttons, and 1 Training Team member who is an Admin Trainer. That Admin Trainer has access to the ACP in order to train new Administrators. 

 

The current Training Team consists of: @.Lia (Training Admin), @Naosuu, @CosineTheCat, and @WünderBâhr.

It's great you posted this announcement! : ) It'll be really helpful to members who may have noticed the "trainer" title and had no idea what that was about. They're a great addition to the team.

There was a previous announcement, but the group has changed since then (hence the "current" in this title), and the first announcement is likely buried, by now.

With Lia becoming a mod, Cosine will be taking over as the Admin Trainer and I will be joining the Training Team.
