Uno Posted June 12, 2023 Share Posted June 12, 2023 As I have been married and have two adult children, the most common reply to my asexuality is “ how can you be asexual if you’ve had sex?” I went through the motions of relationship, marriage and sex as was expected of us 25 years ago without enjoying one moment of it, and had regular taunts from my wife about how bad I was in bed. I hated the idea of sex, but there was no such thing as asexuality and you were seen as a failure if you refused. Other responses include “you must have enjoyed it once” and “you’re just saying this because you’re older now and can’t get a girlfriend” and the occasional “there’s plenty of apps out there”!
