Myssterry
Not by a long way, no, but good for you, @mackat5 and I hope you get a few more over 70s to join you here.
jay williams
I am not 70, but everyday I get closer to that age. I hope to make it. I would love to sleep with a woman who is over 70 if she did not require fitting genitals together.

plclark
I'm 76, but will be 77 in a few weeks. I just found AVEN and am so pleased to find that I belong to a community of people like me.

Bambi2
I just turned 74; still working part-time, enjoy getting out and about and keeping busy. I love reading, making multiple trips to various libraries, enjoy good movies, good music, and especially animals, dogs and cats in particular. I live in New York City and would love to meet other people not interested in a relationship eventually becoming sexual. Been there, done that, and never really enjoyed it. I just would like friendships that might involve sharing a cup of coffee or some lunch, going to a movie together or just taking a walk and talking. How do you tell people that you are just not interested in sex?

I'm still just 64 and had thought that maybe people outgrew those expectations but I have found that the older guys around here are about like the 20 year olds as far as expectations and desires. The guy who brought me old tatting shuttles and Hebrew books that he found at garage sales turned out to want sex. He went away for a year or two and now he's back with grain sacks full of perlite for me. I might as well be 12 as far a knowing how to handle this stuff.
Bambi2
Well I had hoped that as I aged, I would meet older men who no longer considered sex to be so important. However, with Viagra now, they are all rearing to go no matter how old they may be. And because women tend to outlive man, they have plenty to choose from out there. I'm still interested in companionship (but not live in ones) but have no intention of becoming sexual again.
Frogster
I never considered the Viagra factor. Thanks for mentioning it. I had those hopes about aging too. I feel like an interloper here on over 70 when I've got 6 years to go.
grampsWNY
I turned 70 in March. And I've just discovered a "label" for my asexuality and now I am finally beginning to understand myself, even though I thought I had done that 27 years ago when I came out to myself (and later, the world) as gay. Life has all kinds of surprises!
