For me, it was bad but could've been worst. How was your year? Was 2016 worth living? >.<

The world should have ended in 2012.

The miracle of life continues...

You have to be dead not to notice, you have to be alive to be indifferent...

Broke up with my ex, moved back in with my mom, got a sucky job, got ran off the road and wrecked my car.

Met awesome friends from AVEN at a meetup. Gained an amazing partner who accepts me as I am. Got a brand new car. Got my student loans paid down enough I can go back to college to finish my degree.

So, some bad, but the good more than made up for it.

A great year (apart from politics). And 2017 should be even better. :D

I said it sucked, sadly. There were a lot of good things, though. But...I'd say the sucky outweighed them. Slightly.

I guess one good thing happened, but other than that bad. So so bad.

HI

My 2016 was dire as usual , and the worst was Victoria Wood dying, I adored her and cannot watch anything with her in it. It like a grieving for someone you know, but I didn't even know her.

It was almost traumatic for me. I was so sad, depressed, stressed out, frustrated and angry about my own success. The way things were this time last year is how I feel now. So it was pretty crappy for me, but even though I put down a hamster I have one now that I'm happy about.

there is good and bad to 2016

good being excellent debut albums from xylaroo, max jury, some excellent novels from authors i hadn't read before like goran vojnovic, robert seethaler, anakana schofield, maylis de kerangel (something i enjoy alot is having an element of new music acts and new authors rather than a reliance on ones  previously had) 2 roy jacobsen novels translated to english this year, some really good albums, new tv like billions, mr robot and atlanta, first full year employment since 2013 (made part time from july 2014 to june 2015), esteban chaves winning giro di lombardia, only 1 bicycle crash this year, 2 specialist referrals happened that had been made originally in 2015[/b]

bad being political, musician deaths, allo darlin deciding to split up, no series of homeland (coming january or february), my local book shop closing.

so there has been pluses and minuses, overall i think the good outweighs the bad especially as the good for me is on a far (at least some of the above mentioned) more personal level than the bad

In my life, in 2016, there was only a few things i can see as really good is that my parents and loved ones are still alive (the most important), and i don't have any really serious or disabling desease.

Apart from that, it was bad, as the latest years. Portugal is still a crap economy paying ridiculous low salaries, despite having high education and experience there are no decent jobs avaiable that allows me to live in my country, so again my best friend and partner have to be away from each other (and to add he is suffering with other serious problems as well in his life, which makes everything more painful, like my departure ), i am still seriously depressed and my mental health is going worse and worse. I am hurt by the past and i see no future. Another year struggling like hell, another year of sadness.

first part of the year was the worst, slowly got a bit better but the only really sorta tolerable part was december

It wasn't terrible, wasn't really great either.

It started out okay, then it went dramatically downward real quick.

...now it's just a mess.

*kicks year in the groin*

If Iceland destroying it at the Euro can't save a year, you know it has been a hopeless case.

Mine was mixed. Visited 8 national parks, including Zion and Grand Canyon; Hailey came back into my life after I spent a year burning through ten other women to find a replacement; I was defamed by a woman; I got a ticket for a burned out break light, and several professional ventures were short-lived. But hey, we got a white Christmas after all.

Well, if I were famous, I'd be panicking, from Natalie Cole at the start of 2016 to David Bowie, Prince, Glen Frey, Rick Parfitt, George Michael, let alone the comedians, actors, sports personalities who have lost their lives, it's been a horrible year for the entertainment world, some, very, very young, a very sad year, for me personally, the sad loss of Sir Terry Wogan really hit me hard, I used to listen to him on the radio for as long as I can remember, I had that horrible gut feeling, on January 31st, whilst driving to Luton in the truck, I heard it on the radio, I was totally gutted.

This year was exciting, and it felt like we fell into an alternate timeline halfway through the year. Things happened that I never thought possible. It still feels like a dream. Are we in the Berenstein or Berenstain universe?

It was good, especially after July. Definitely better than last year. I'm healthier both physically and mentally. I'm still technically underweight but only by a few pounds, and I'm not all weak and frail like I was before. I have a lot more muscle and stamina. My depression and anxiety has decreased, to where things that used to make me panic and/or have horrible thoughts don't affect me as badly. I got a full time job in the field I studied for in college, and it didn't cause me to have a breakdown and quit after a week. I also have a lot more money now than I did last year.

Well 2016 was the best year of my life, so you can guess my response. I can only remember positive things happening for me, so hell yeah, the year was good. Excited for 2017. I like where my life is going atm. Unfortunately cannot say the same for humanity when I look at the political situation :/

2016 sucked balls but I still ticked option 1 because most things that happened were long overdue. 2017 will probably suck too, but maybe 2018 finally won't.

I don't know, depends from what side I look at it..

for elections it was disappointing (so many disappointing elections...), but on the other hand I graduated and got accepted to university and no longer have certain classes I absolutely hated in school (as in despised and am so glad I no longer have them..), so from that point of view the year was great... however I also had a mostly terrible summer and Birthday... so, I don't know, it was mostly just another year for me...

2016 pretty much sucked. I am really glad it is over, but it isn't looking like 2017 will improve much for me, personally. I suppose I am glad I don't have any major health issues.
