Heart Posted November 28, 2016 Share Posted November 28, 2016 Hello everyone! As part of the shiny new AVEN site, some things have changed about the notification settings. You may have to go in and re-set your previous preferences. You can do that by clicking on the notifications symbol in the top right of the browser window (a bell-shaped icon). A list of your recent notifications will come up, and there will be an option to change your notification settings; it is called "Notification Settings" and is in grey beside a gear-shaped icon above the list. Please use this option to change your email notification preferences. Some people may be instead allowing AVEN to email them, then either deleting the notifications without reading them (leading their email to assume it's spam and start marking it as spam), or are marking them as spam themselves to stop the emails from coming to their inbox. In any case, if AVEN emails that go to your email account are marked as spam for any reason, that affects our backend; your email will bounce back the email from AVEN, and complain that it's spam. So let's make a concerted effort to not mark AVEN as spam, so we can run a bit smoother. Thank you! Edit: I've been asked to reinforce the message: please don't mark AVEN emails as spam! If you're getting emails you don't want, then use the above directions to stop email notifications. Don't mark us as spam. If you have questions, reply to this thread or feel free to PM me. Heart Posted November 29, 2016 Author Share Posted November 29, 2016 Update: We got marked as spam by enough people that our email service is now suspended, or something along those lines. So for now, email notifications are still (sometimes) sending, but should not be relied upon. Link to post Share on other sites
