Omnes et Nihil

Issue 4 of the "f-ace-ing silence" zine is now available online, and it seems I forgot to announce the 3rd issue here when it came out in June, but that's available too.

Issues 1-4 are available here.

And the call for submissions for issue 5 is already up too:

“f-ace-ing silence” is a collaborative zine about aces feeling silenced in asexual / ace community spaces.

Sometimes people feel silenced or alienated in our aces spaces ( online and offline ) because people just aren’t talking about certain things. Sometimes people feel silenced or alienated because certain topics are controversial or taboo— we’re not supposed to talk about them, or there’s a “party line” we’re supposed to toe if we do. And sometimes people in ace spaces actively silence other aces.

If you have something to say about feeling alienated in ace spaces something you wish people were talking about in ace spaces ( or talking about more )– maybe stuff you’re hesitant to bring up in ace spaces because other aces might be disrespectful… this zine’s a good opportunity for you to write ( or draw ) about it!

  • Stuff you feel alienated or silenced about in ace spaces – stuff you might not feel safe expressing ( or that isn’t respected ) in ace spaces
  • Stuff that people just aren’t talking about in ace spaces ( or not talking about enough )– what’s missing from ace discourse?

5th issue theme— as an *optional* guiding suggestion only

  • grey-ness, ambiguity, liminality, not-quite-ness, almost-ness and uncertainty [ in relationships, identity, experience, community, etc. ]
  • anything that previous issues have brought up or inspired

Words, poetry, images, etc.
