Is it just me, or is the male orgasm over exaggerated? (Explicit)

I hope I'm in the right forum.

I can finally say it officially. The male orgasm SUCKS! For me that is... I finally masturbated until "climax" twice.

The first time, I've stopped 2 seconds before climax and the climax didn't feel as good as everybody says it feels.

The second time, I've continued while climaxing thinking maybe I didn't make it to the actual orgasm, but it was the same damn feeling.

Two things drove me to do this.

#1) I was curious if whether or not it felt the same or different from a wet dream, I wanted to be able to confirm if whether or not I've been "climaxing" at night and the answer is yes.

#2) I wanted to know why men everywhere cannot stop choking the chicken. I wanted to know if it felt as good as they say it did.

People say masturbation is this most wonderful feeling act, but I tried it and it isn't as good as people say it is.

What is it about the pelvic muscles and prostate instantly tensing, and instantly releasing, and instantly tensing, and instantly releasing, over and over again, with a numb feeling as if you've been holding your bladder all day, along with a tense feeling in your abdomen that is so great? How is this "awesome?" Maybe I'm not "jerking" the right way, but whatever. To me, it feels no different than an annoying wet dream that you cannot stop from happening for some reason. So, I broke my religious morals for nothing. If this is how the male orgasm would feel during sex, then I'm glad I have zero interest in sex.

Is it just me, or is the male orgasm over exaggerated? Is it possible that my libido isn't as high as I thought it was? Thanks a bunch.

I think orgasms are on a wider spectrum than anyone likes to admit - mine is so underwhelming that I had to read up on the process to even be sure I could call them that. As for pleasure...I suppose I get a minimal amount in the process, like a really satisfying full-body stretch, but it only lasts for a second or two at most. Booooring!

I don't think many men experience the male orgasm, I think it's like the female orgasm, you have to go a lot longer than what people actually believe is the real thing.

It depends whether you think that ejaculation is the same as orgasm, which I don't. With effort - and if I'm in the right mood - I can orgasm and that is good. Something about that wash of brain chemistry, I think. My thoughts white-out for a second or two, and I end up all shaky and giggly

I guess it's just different for all people. Personally, I love the feeling of an orgasm. I also think that part of the satisfaction of an orgasm is when it's done in response to something that turns you on mentally--at least this is so for me. Now, I don't really care about sex, per se, but I do get turned on by some kinky things, so I use those things for masturbation. For many men there's also a deep sense of relaxation and stress releasing effect of an orgasm that's very nice.

Orgasms vary - you can have "meh" ones and "OMG AWESOME" ones if you enjoy it, I have heard being mentally into it can make it a lot better than just a purely physical act. However, not everyone enjoys sensations the same as others. I am female, but I don't enjoy orgasm (I believe I have had them.. I think). You are male and you don't enjoy them. Just like, some people enjoy adrenaline rushes and some people do not. If you don't find pleasure in it, then don't do it. If you do, then do it. :D There isn't anything EVERYONE has to enjoy.

I've experienced this too, but I very rarely experience orgasms that make me feel good and all that. I have a very low sex drive, so sometimes there are months in between these experiences. Most of the time I "only" ejaculate, which is - well, disappointing to say the least. It's a one second-thing, and then it's over and I wonder if it was worth the time and effort. So - often I have this "meh"-sensation too.

Certain philosophies practice orgasm without ejaculation because they believe that spilling semen drains the body and mind of energy if it is too often. There are a lot of writings on how the two can be separate, though are often together.

I don't think I can ever reached an orgasm by masturbation, despite being able to ejaculate just fine (or as fine as getting one's hand covered in sticky organic mush can be -_-). The OP's description sounds fair enough, the only really pleasant thing about it, for me, is the feeling of relief of tension... I've never been able to relate to what's supposed to be so "mindblowingly awesome" about the moment of ejac, itself. *shrug*

Yes, often the male and female orgasms are often over exaggerated in media and certantly porn. Many may I don't think realize orgasm isn't this magic end to sexual pleisure for everyone. Everyone would experience it differently and many need other types of stimulation to achieve it. No one simply cannot mechanically mastrubate with absolutely no stimuli, whether that stimulation comes from th 5 sences, fantasy or general horneyness or some sexual tension already.
