Hello and Welcome to the Asexual World Festival, Toronto June 25-29 2014!

The asexual community is looking forward to one of the largest international gatherings in our history, at the end of June this year (2014). Timed to coincide with WorldPride 2014, organised by Pride Toronto, the Asexual World Festival will bring together, from all over the world, asexual people, gray As and our allies, as well as interested members of the public and press. If you'd like to learn more, or to register your interest, please email wp2014@asexuality.org.

Important Events and Dates

Here are the two main events in Toronto to look forward to.

Saturday 28 June 2014: The International Asexual Conference (more details to follow soon)
Sunday 29 June 2014: Annual Toronto Pride march, with a huge asexy contingent

Other events of possible interest:

Wednesday 25 June - Friday 27 June: The WorldPride human rights conference, organised by WorldPride and the Bonham Centre for Sexual Diversity Studies will contain a talk by 3 of our members: "From bananas to zucchinis: How talking about asexuality can contribute to queer and trans* positive, comprehensive, sexual education"
Friday 27 June: Trans Pride march
Saturday 28 June: Annual Dyke march

Thanks to Heart for starting this. This is a work in progress. The idea is that the above is a draft for what we'll shortly be putting on the page http://www.asexuality.org/home/worldpride2014.html.

When we need to update the latter, we'll update Heart's post first and then the page itself.

I will make a few edits to Heart's post and then go ahead. If anyone has any other suggestions for what we should be adding to this page, feel free to post them here, or PM Heart, Robin L or myself.
