Carsonspire
I was just listening to GenderTalk archives (www.gendertalk.com). GenderTalk is a Boston-based radio show that talks about transgenderism. The show I was listening to is from 2003, and the show hosts were interviewing bell hooks. hooks mentioned "nonsexuality" in a list of sexual orientations. She just mentioned it in passing, she wasn't exclusively talking about asexuality, but it was still a pleasant surprise to hear her mention it.
Jael L
Recently I read 'Teaching to Transgress: Education as the Practice of Freedom' and 'Outlaw Culture: Resisting Representations' partly out of curiosity about her ideology and partly so I could classify and catalogue them for the library. Have to say I was disappointed, she seems quite naive at times, I wouldn't exactly call her a critical thinker.
