Songs in alternate languages!

Is it really possible we don't have a thread for this? :o

Please share songs you really really like in your own language (or another one)! If you feel like posting a translation to English, that's cool too, but not necessary!

Today I'm obsessing (again, not the first time) on the Italian version of The Circle of Life, which is the only one I knew growing up. It is really beautiful and I prefer it to the English one (which doesn't happen often).

Here I give you the translation to English:

The Circle of Life

[MS: Male Singer]

[bS: Background Singer]

[FS: Female Singer (lead)]

[MS:] Nants ingonyama bagithi baba [There comes a lion]

[bS:] Sithi uhhmm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]

[MS:] Nants ingonyama bagithi baba [There comes a lion]

[bS:] Sithi uhhmm ingonyama [Oh yes, it's a lion]

Ingonyama

[MS:] Siyo Nqoba [We're going to conquer]

[bS:] Ingonyama

Ingonyama nengw' enamabaal [it's a lion and a tiger]

[repeats 5]

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala (Se-to-kwa!)

Ingonyama nengw' enamabala (Asana)

[repeats 1]

(yes, that's the same, surprised? :P )

And one day you realize you exist

That you are part of the world as well

Not out of your own choice

And you wonder why

We're here, because of whose will?

Then a sunray 'hugs' you,

And your eyes get coloured with blue

And that's enough for you

Every doubt goes away

And the whys don't exist anymore

It's a merry-go-round

This life that spins with us

And never stops

And every life knows

That it will be reborn

In a flower

Which will never end*

(*repeat twice)

There is another part of song in the non-Disney version, but I prefer this one.

Come on you all non-English people! Post your favourite non-English songs!

Yes! I just edited the title because I was way too sleepy to think of foreigners posting in other non-English languages :P

two more spanish songs to follow on from el capitán, wherever whenever a la espanol (34 million youtube views)

i like shakira

alternatively, there is this song from spanish group Serpentina (771 views on youtube). thats a very good album. shame i have no idea what tehy are singing about.

google translate tells me the songs lyrics a la anglais is

Where are you, dear fear?
Did you forget me already?
Tonight when off the sky
I'll leave
Disguised as a clown
With glass eyes
Half face with white glue
The other dark

And now it's me who makes you remember, who does not apologize

Where are you, dear fear
I want to say hello
This afternoon when the wind changes
I'll go
Planning on your roof
With harlequin smile
Smite my eyes on your mind
Can not sleep

And now it is you who cries in a corner, who apologizes me

Songs are just better in Spanish than English, aren't they? I don't know why that is. Maybe it's because we hear English all the time, but not so much Spanish.

La Compliante de la Butte (French):

O Mio Babbino Caro (Italian):

Because I love opera (even though she's using a microphone in this performance) and I love Anna Netrebko and I freaking love this song.

Speaking of opera...

I absolutely love this performance because Damrau goes into her whistle range (AKA those really, really high notes).

Queen of the Night (German):

Truth and Lies

Oh, this is just the thread for me! Finally, I can gush about songs in other languages with reason!

First, Auf Kurs by Oomph! I wonder how many threads I've posted this on...

Next, Sonne by Rammstein, Russian Version.

And then Wenn Ich Tot Bin by Luna Luna (cannot find translation)

Here's Конь by Любэ (Kon' by Lube)

English Translation:

With my stallion at night, I shall leave for the fields
By the night so dark and silent we will go
We shall walk together by the fields, my steed and I
We shall walk together by the fields, my steed and I

In the fields the stars are shinning
No one can be seen around
Only my stallion and I, walking by the fields at night
Only my stallion and I, walking by the fields at night

Let me mount my stallion
Take me across the fields, away!
By the endless fields of mine
By the endless fields of mine

Let me glance at the sky
To see where the the fields give birth to dawn
Oh that cowberry color, scarlet sunrise!
Is that place real, or is it not

My little fields, my streams
Lights of villages afar
Golden rye and curly flax
I'm in love with Russia, I'm in love

The year will be good and the harvest heavy
We've been through much, we'll make it through once more
Sing now, golden rye, sing now curly flax
Sing about Russia, about my love!

Now to list with links~!

Foi Feitiço by André Sardet (favorite Portuguese song at the moment... cannot find the translation, though!)
