Guest
Kinda gives me the feeling we should make an agender fiesta. I'll bring the fruit and someone else will have to bring the rainbow cake!
Andiamo
I'll bring the rainbow cake!
Wayfarer
Don't forget the sushi! That's absolutely necessary. I'll bring the sushi

iff
if luftschlosseule is bringing the books and tea, i'll bring the music
Dodecahedron314
I can contribute to music as well, I've got enough random instruments lying around to make it work. And yarn! Yarn and knitting/crochet lessons for everyone who wants them!
iff
sure, more people with different tastes in music will bring better variety and be more fun
Heart
A THING HAPPENED! A THING HAPPENED! The march for science in Vancouver has this little blurb in their description: ACCESSIBILITY & DIVERSITY We plan to make this march as inclusive and accessible to as many people as possible. We value diversity and equality. Scientists and people who care about science are an intersectional group, embodying a diverse range of race, sexual orientation, (a)gender identity, ability, religion, age, and socioeconomic and immigration status. We come together under a shared passion for pursuing and sharing knowledge. They specifically mention agender people! Sorry, I got over excited there for a second. Welcome to all the new people! I'm the local mod, so feel free to PM me any time if you have questions. Also, I love this thread; I need to remember to spend more time here After all, the whole party almost got planned without me! I'll bring.... cute fluffy horses! ...they'll come out when they're done eating. Then it's free hugs all day and night!
Guest
YAY finally. At least they know we exist and need awareness. Thanks for letting us know heart Oh and i thought you were bringing fluffy unicorns horses will work too!
Luftschlosseule
I don't know if I already said so, but I dislike unicorns. Horses have enough weapons as they are, they don't need a horn that can rip right through you. I love feeling validated by such small things <3
KokoroDragon
Yay! I can bring cushions and beanbags to lounge on!
Heart
They could be unicorns, we can't see their heads yet ;) And they're obviously super peaceful one way or another. I love all my gender forum folks, I would never bring a unicorn in here without personally making sure it was a pacifist!
Dodecahedron314
Relevant to this thread's interests: I just found a webcomic with not only an ace protagonist, but an entire species of alien that's agender! And it's handled pretty well, too--the comic is very matter-of-fact about it, and actively calls out anyone who tries to impose gendery nonsense on the situation. So, here you go: http://cb-comic.com

Andiamo
I have a job interview tomorrow. I've learned my lesson about gender presentation at things like that. Last play I auditioned for, it was the 3 AFAB people who dressed more androgynously who weren't cast, myself included, even though the director wanted diversity. So I guess I'm going more femme tomorrow.
Finn.
@Andiamo ugh that's shitty. but yeah, i was unsure too and went dresses up more feminine as well. and i got both jobs i interviewed for
Andiamo
Update: I got the job! I guess it worked? But then I ended up feeling pretty dysphoric later on today. So. Fun times. I just wish that there was SOMEBODY in my hometown that called me by my pronouns. That would have helped.
Scintillatriste
That's awesome that you got the job! But I'm sorry about the dysphoria, that's awful. I also try to dress more feminine for interviews, which usually ends up with me looking like a clown. Hard to feign the confidence one is meant to exude at an interview when you're uncomfortable in your own skin.
