Honest assesment of grey-ness requested

First off, yes this is another “what am I” post, however I am more looking for honest opinions and viewpoints of my own determination as opposed to just asking for a label I can use.

With that said, I think I fall under the classification as a grey asexual. The whole process started when I was discussing my, in my view, fucked up sex life with my girlfriend. I gave her my views and she mentioned that maybe I was asexual. After looking on Google and finding many definitions I think that a “Grey-A” fits best, but I am still uncertain.

I was talking with a friend and this is now I described it at the time;

“If anything i find the whole concept confusing and tiresome.

It seems like so much work and makes no sense to me and honestly the thought of having to doing it very often is actually kind of annoying.

It's like having to do the dishes or some other relationship chore.

I can't imagine how you do it all the time”

What causes the most uncertainty is that I still enjoy looking at porn, masturbating, and even find other people attractive/arousing, but mostly the masturbation. When it comes to someone I find attractive, I like looking, and I like touching and playing, but that’s as far as I go. Even if the other person wants to go farther I have no desire for it past that annoying genetic instinct that is in everyone. (And I defiantly do NOT want kids >.<) I will admit most of what I do, self gratification wise, is out of boredom/habit, but I do get aroused by porn. Does this counter the possibility of being asexual, even Grey? Or does it reinforce the grey-ness as opposed to sexual vs. asexual?

No, I don't think masturbation and getting aroused by porn counter the possibility of being asexual (or grey-A) at all. Lots of aces do masturbate (just look at this thread for example), but that's mostly because they have a libido. I will also say that I don't think masturbation habits and the possibility of getting aroused by porn are useful indicators of a person's sexual orientation.
