But funny enough I read some yaoi manga (very soft and usually it has the famous 'invisible penis')and it doesn't squick me out that much. I'm a art history major and currently trying to drag myself through all of the nudes in Greek/Roman art. Every page I turn there is a penis! *blarg* I'm actually aestheticly attracted to female nudes. I find that a womans body it quite beautiful with her softness and curves. I think a few years ago it was odd for me to watch someone undress in front of me because the person is vulnerable to all the eyes around them. Now when I see naked people I automatically objectify them into muscles, lines, and values. I have a strong appreciation for the human body and all it's varieties. Link to post Share on other sites

LOL I wish that too, but it ain't happening XD (although, I really hate it when they draw anime girls with beachball-sized breasts...that's just wrong and it looks horribly unproportioned [is that a real word?]) Disproportionate, c'est le mot. =D Not to mention at times that's the most they put into much detail. So while I think it's valid for an asexual to be uncomfortable with viewing genitalia, I think it's important to be sensitive as well. skund Posted February 26, 2009 Share Posted February 26, 2009 I'm into slash quite a bit, so I see quite a few drawings of naked dudes, but I think it's the emotional response between the characters that appeals to me more than seeing various bits and pieces (and most of it's not very accurate to life anyway). I'm really not bothered about seeing men naked in pictures and on TV. I mean, they're still just people. Just because you can see their bits doesn't change who they are at all. Male genitals don't looks weird to me (though, kinda funny looking when they're 'hard') but I'd prefer not seeing it. Female genitals are weird looking. I don't mind if they're standing, with their feet together, cuz they just look like a Barbie doll. It's just gross when you see it when they're in a lying down position. I'm a girl and I have one, but I still think they're gross looking. Why can't people look like they do in anime? Whenever they draw girls in anime, they're either totally flat or totally huge. How about normal-sized breasts? It always amazes me how Bleach's Matsumoto can even remain standing with what she's carrying on the chest. :lol: Strangely enough, I think female 'nether regions' are more disgusting and I'm a female. I guess it's because a penis looks more like a part of the body (covered with skin) while a vagina looks like a wet, slimy, bleeding hole (kind of gross to me). I think the exact same way.
