Homer
I was also the only female-bodied person there who didn't try to flirt with the guy every time the class took a break. My hardware is male and I still can relate to that :D Situations like that make me feel "pre-annoyed". I see an attractive person and it makes me think about the annoying reactions the apperarance of this person will cause. "Oh no, they will find them hot and they will make annoying comments..." (Upside - that's exactly how I got to know my now best friend at my current workplace. Yes, she noticed me rolling eyes because of some jerk trying to hit on her. She liked my reaction :D)

Dodecahedron314
Is it weird, that when I look at pretty girls. That I want to be them instead? My brain works weirdly... Nope, this happens to me with aesthetically attractive guys all the time.
deltaX
Same here! When I see aesthetically attractive people, my first reaction is pretty much always "They look so cute/handsome/pretty/interesting/whatever! I wish I could look like that!"
Ace of Amethysts
I remember buying a bedtime shirt about a month ago that read "See You in My Dreams" (or something to that effect). My dad sarcastically joked that it referred to all of the boyfriends I`ve had, but I think I was actually thinking of AVENites  There was another possible ace moment last month when me and my mum were watching a Rio Olympic swimming final. Chinese swimmer Sun Yang took the gold, and when he stepped out of the pool my mum made various comments about his physique, including this (paraphrased): My mum: Wow, check him out! Those are some impressive muscles. Right, [AoA]? Me: Eh, he`s okay I guess. (An olympic swimmer`s muscles really aren`t my thing...)
Sylvastor
After reading about most of you having odd olympics moments, I'm starting to wonder if that's the main reason people watch olympics. Also, does that qualify as an ace moment?
TophatNTails
Not sure if this is really an ace moment, but I felt like sharing it. So, I was going out for lunch today with my family. After we were done eating, a waitress came over to clear our stuff up, so we got ready to leave. Anyway, when I was putting on my coat, the waitress complemented me on it and gave me a quick smile. I naturally became quite embarrassed (I'm used to be called a lot of offensive names by my brother and sister, so I'm not really used to complements, especially from strangers!) The ace-ish moment happened when we were talking about it later. My sister was still laughing at me for my reaction to the complement, and I proceeded to ask why she'd complemented me. My Dad said "I'm sure she wouldn't have complemented you if she didn't find anything about you attractive." At which point I was like "er...what?! Attractive?! Me?!"
SylviaDragon
I'm starting to wonder if a lot of people After reading about most of you having odd olympics moments, I'm starting to wonder if that's the main reason people watch olympics. Also, does that qualify as an ace moment? I'm starting to wonder the same thing too. I watch it because i love cheering on all the different countries and watching people break world records- also i just get really excited about the cultural displays during the opening and closing events. x) the only things that crossed my mind about the Olympic swimmers were: 1: wow those speedos look really uncomfortable. And the wind is blowing too. I would feel so cold and awkward if I had to wear that. poor guy. 2: oh! so THAT’S how the chest muscle connects to the arm! Oh hey, and I can use the belly button to mark the four corners of the lower abs the next time I try to draw! Now that art tutorial I watched last night makes way more sense! personally i prefer the women's gymnastics and anything that has to do with the bike racing over swimming- but sadly i managed to miss all the bike races this year. :( only caught the tail end of a gold run. was bummed out. But now I can't wait for the winter Olympics and all the awesome Asian themed opening ceremonies we will have over the next few years! ahhhh!

Scott1989
Hearing the Netflix and chill stories and the inital confussion around it, it reminded me of one of my most anti ace moment: I was taking part in some chat after a Uni football training session (after I identified as ace): Team Mate: "I'm going to go home and spend some 'quality time' with my girlfriend Me:"Oh, is she going to *sexual term* you then?" The sexual term is one I learned during my trying to be "normal" phases before I even knew about asexuality. I won't say what the term was Team Mate: "What is *sexual term*?" Me: "What you don't know what it means?" *turning to other team mates* "You guys know, right?" *Get a whole load of "No" from everyone else.* Team Mate: "So what does it mean?" *I explain it. All I'll say is that it's something a lot of men probably won't find pleasurable but most women would. And it's not a fake one that people made up on Urban Dictionary* Team Mate: "WHAT!??! Definitely not!"

But now I can't wait for the winter Olympics and all the awesome Asian themed opening ceremonies we will have over the next few years! ahhhh! Olympics (especially photos taken during the event) are great for anatomy reference, though I have to admit I don't really care much about that sports event itself. The openings are the only exciting thing for me. Sigh... <_< Those late-night advertisements... Annoyment, annoyment, even more annoyment and the program is interrupted for you-never-know-how-long because of it. Sometimes, you see it, you are repulsed and annoyed by it, but you just can't stop staring at it anyway because it's just so... I don't even know if I have the right words in my vocabulary to describe it. A mixture of "what", disgust and "who would even want/watch that" with a little bit of "this is just hilarious" maybe? (A small note: I usually don't mind nude bodies and am not repulsed by sexual stuff or things suggesting it, so to provoke such a reaction in me takes quite some effort...). Perhaps this qualifies as an ace moment too.
Andiamo
I am currently reading C. S. Lewis's The Four Loves for a literature-based seminar class about romantic love. It is a discussion based class, and today's topic was the chapter on Eros (erotic love). I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that I was the only one who actually volunteered to talk about it (and I talked for most of the class period). I was just sitting there thinking "This discussion isn't going to go very far if the ace is the only one talking about sexual attraction. Probably everyone else in this room has more experience with it than I do." The teacher did call on others even if they didn't want to be called on, but it was still really funny. I realized that I was pretty much treating it very scientifically, like it was something to be discussed but didn't apply to me at all.

Adam_Jensen
I remember back in highschool our teacher asked my classroom that if we were in relationship would we cheat on our partner?? When it was my turn to answer I just said I wouldn't cheat because I would not be in relationship in the first place, since I don't care for that kind of thing. He quickly dismissed my answer and said that I would eventually find the right person. I was annoyed with his answer but didn't object because I knew it was a waste of time. The thing is back then I wasn't even aware that I was an aromantic asexual.
Homer
Ages ago I had a female customer with an invalid ticket. So I explained that she'd need to pay for a new blah blah blah. She then tried to get out of the situation by saying "Isn't there maybe another way to settle this?", only to proceed to wink at me and jiggle her cleavage a little. I had a hard time keeping a straight face instead of bursting out laughing. Tryin' to lure a lion with salad :D

furaneol
Oh boy... so during my 4th year of undergrad, my friend had a copy of 50 Shades of Grey on his phone and asked me if I wanted to watch it. We ended up watching it, and by the time it was over, I asked, "So was that supposed to be a comedy?" (I remember laughing really hard at some parts). My friend looked at me with such disappointment and shook his head in disapproval.

nanogretchen4
I haven't watched the movie of 50 Shades of Grey, but I skimmed the first book. I definitely found it more humorous than erotic. Whether the author intended it as a comedy is another issue.
