will123
Not really an ace moment, but when I'd go to see the strippers and there was a guy and girl together watching, I just cringed. There is NO way I would've asked any of the girls I knew over the years if they wanted to go to see the peelers...
Almost_something
Recently, I started participating in a study group where we choose 1 book/article to read per semester. We take turns to read out loud and then we discuss it. Yesterday, 2 girls entered the group. When they started reading, I thought that their voices really sounded like those voice overs of some YouTube's news channels, like journalists from BBC, CNN or whatever. Just well trained voices that sounded like I was hearing a podcast. I thought that was a really interesting thing and went to tell them. They looked a little flustered and started laughing. Only then I realized that it was sounding like I was flirting with them. I forget that sometimes people think that specific praises means flirting lmao
Muledeer
I was telling a friend about my yoga class, and the teacher who had mentioned his husband. I ventured that he might be gay, and my friend laughed and said MIGHT? I told him from the asexual perspective, men could be married but not gay, and after all, this guy does wear a black ring on his ring finger, which he calls his wedding ring. He said he never would have thought about marriage that way and had no idea about the black ring.
Makiducky
so I'm re reading loveless by Alice oseman. it's too real damn it. I'm only a couple chapters in, but I gotta realize I'm a lot like the trans version of Georgia. except I never liked to read fanfics or romance films. honestly I go by abrogay, aroace but it's mostly just aesthetic attraction/emotional attachment . I'm re reading it because I have to remind myself constantly that I'm aroace, ageosexual but not ageoromantic. the funny thing here is that I do the same thing Georgia does. I try and try to get crushes with men but all I have is aesthetic attraction, so I'm not really that attracted anyways. anyways compulsory sexuality sucks. and it def doesn't describe me. Dessert_Father
I've heard people say that they watch a lot of pornography, and I used to think I was one of those people. But I've recently realised that wasn't what I was doing, I was instead spending time browsing porn websites trying to find anything interesting, and the only videos I ever chose to watch more than once didn't involve anyone having sex, just attractive people chatting or posing. and somehow I though I was hetrosexual 😂

In reality I was more interested in how the actresses looked, not what they were doing...
chronicallypessimistic
About a year before I found out I was on the aroace spectrum, I watched a romance movie and there was a shower scene in one part of the movie. When I watched it, I was like "ew, why would anyone actually want to willingly shower with another person??" and I decided to just use the fast forward button to skip through the "steamy, intimate" shower scene. I think I kind of understand why someone would shower with another person now, but I'm still very iffy and bleugh when remembering some people truly do enjoy showering with others. I've never done that while watching a movie. Mind you if someone was with me I'd feel very uncomfortable even if the characters just kissed.
chronicallypessimistic
Kiss scenes are also definitely not my thing. Luckily, I was watching the movie alone that night, so nobody had to witness that weird shower scene with me
