bard of aven Posted January 5, 2003 Share Posted January 5, 2003 Hi all. I've been lurking regularly here for a couple of months, and feel I should join more actively. I have a love of poetry and bad puns (is that redundant?), and some talent for creating doggeral, hence the screen name. By way of introducing myself, here are four limericks I wrote over 20 years ago, when I self-identified as celibate-gay. The bulge by the fly is attractive But not as a thing I would touch. The loveliest curve Won't inspire such nerve. The desire that I feel is much More removed and more subtly active. I long for the power of creation To be freed in a way, Be it bi, straight, or gay, That will lead to a great revelation Of just what it means to create. Yes, the passion is there for a purpose, But to be wholly caught Up in that single thought Is to never have got 'neath the surface. As for me, I will not seek a mate. I create in asensual ways. Lol one of the classe sone can pick in the game (wizard warrior necromancer etc) is BARD. :D They use songs to mesmerize or charm things or hela others and soem players are actually poets and tell stories :) But neways here i am goign off on a tangent.
