porn feels good, but not the real thing

Recommended Posts

I was reading a post from a few weeks back and it made me think bout something. When I see pictures of boobs or a dick I get a tingly feeling down there, also when I watch porn. I've gotten this feeling also when I was touched by a guy on my inner thy. What I'm saying is that I feel good when I watch videos or see pictures or are touched, but I don't want to actually see these things or partake in them irl. am I getting aroused? I don't even know what it means to get aroused used but maybe this is it.

You might find it helpful looking into autochorissexuality. It's very common to fantasize about something you don't want to actually experience. Even for asexuals. Straight women might fantasize about being with another woman but when it comes down to the real deal it's not as exciting anymore.

Arousal and sexual attraction are also different things. Arousal is a physical reaction, attraction happens in your head. So one can enjoy sex with another person and still be asexual, because it feels physically good to them even if they don't find the other person sexually (or in other ways) attractive.

As for what arousal is, I'd say you're probably experiencing it. Feeling a little warm in some places or tingles is how it's commonly described.

Thanks for posting that link for a definition of that word.  I'm not familiar with the source, however.
