Triskedog
I wouldn’t classify myself as autistic but I would put myself on the low end of the spectrum. I feel that my social ineptness and my asexuality stem from similar places in me, perhaps related by a lack of empathy and bonding capability. I’m not assuming that this is particularly common but wondered if anybody had similar thoughts.
TheAP
I'm autistic, but I don't know if it's related to my asexuality. Also see this thread:
OldSoul
I'm a severe empath, and I think a lot of people do classify themselves a introverted and empathic, if that helps. I have seen this exact question asked before, so I'm thinking there is likely a link.
Telecaster68
I recently found this: a metastudy of links between how the brain processes the hormone oxytocin (which is also the bonding hormone, and floods the brain after sex), and Aspergers. Bascially, it looks liker there is one, but more research is needed.
