Germany enforces hate speech laws for social media

This law is going to affect end-users. It's going to force Facebook to police everyone according to the most strict laws they operate under. Kind of like how all vehicles can pass California emissions tests in the US despite regulations being lower in other states. Except we aren't talking about pollution here, just hot air.

I'll say it again, words are not violence. The moment they become so, the government can use any "dissent" as "hate speech" to further their political goals. Much like I feel Germany is right now, is arresting anyone leaking what's really happening in the country. Things like how much people who are actually exposed to the immigrants, actually hate the 3rd world immigrants because of very legitimate reasons. The German government is covering up all the destruction, rape, and crimes that are going unpunished. Hiding the fact No-go zones are becoming more and more prominent in some areas. How they are intentionally replacing the native population with unskilled, uneducated people that most don't even work. I mean, they are opening up fucking animal brothels.

Germany has a terminal illness. That illness is Merkel, and political correctness.

That's bullshit (not the article, but the interpretation of the law. I hope it grows out of these problems, otherwise I think a better law may be in order.

Germany has a terminal illness. That illness is Merkel, and political correctness. That illness is refusing to accept they fucked up, and will stick to their stupid fucking policies till Germany becomes just like any other middle eastern country. The German culture, and native peoples will die out or move out, in less than 50 years. Hope you Liberals over there are proud.

Have fun with that Sharia law when they take over.

That right there is so much bullshit in one single post I don't even know where to begin.

Who has been arrested after "leaking what's really happening"? Where do we have no-go zones? Where can I book these "animal brothels"? :D As to the "hate" aspect and just so you know, the nazi stronghold areas are where the least amount of immigrants live. I, personally, live in an area with a pretty high amount of immigrants and I have yet to encounter any problems. That doesn't mean that there aren't any, but it's not like we're being raided and replaced. Yes, Germany was (still is) shockingly underprepared for a thing that had been known to happen one day for decades, which is almost hilarious. Merkel is a part of the problem. But we're not dying out.

Try to get your head out of Trump's anus first before you comment on things you obviously know absolutely nothing about.

I'd be curious to know what makes them think this is based on the new law (which is in no way confirmed by Twitter)

They nowhere mention that Twitter suspends more than 600,000 accounts each year in an automated fashion if their algorithms detect them as potentially illegal, which is far more what this looks like given the content of the tweet that triggered it.

I don't care what you think. But here are some links. Also, if you only watch Liberal news, you would never see these stories. So how would you know? There are also tons of videos online that you can watch.

I can't expect someone in Germany to know what is going on, as your news is censored, as well as your internet. :)

Also, what if I am right? Would you really do nothing as your country's culture gets replaced by Islamic culture.

I'm glad that several AVEN members actually live in Germany, since I'm more apt to  take their comments as coming from someone knowledgeable.

Do you yourself, honestly believe the average person knows what is going on in politics?

As a politically minded German,  I Do think I know what's going on in politics, yes.

And I also wholeheartedly agree with Homer's previous post as well as at least the upper 2/3rds of his prior one in this thread.

No, I don't. I believe that politics is a backroom kind of thing and we only get to see the surface. I also don't believe that we live in a real democracy. Politicians cater to companies because companies stuff the politicians' arses with money in return. Yet that wasn't what I was talking about. I was talking about real life, the one that's happenig outside everyday, in the country that I live in and that I travel on a daily base.

I clicked the "no-go zones links as I was particularly interested in them and I found just what I expected. Quotes by Rainer Wendt :D Rainer Wendt (chairman of one of the two leading police officers unions) is a despicable excuse of a human being, trying to sell the idea of a need to establish a police state. He's totally detached from reality. Media turn to him when they want to have a slamming headline. That's the only thing he's good at. Donald would like him and I'm sure you would, too.

The population links are similarly unsatisfying. People have left the country since practically ever. I know a bunch of people who have left the country for a variety of reasons and to all thinkable and unthinkable destinations, from Switzerland to India. None of them left because of "immigrants/refugees taking over the country". "Anecdotal evidence" doesn't count much in my book anyway and a couple of angry letters by so-called "concerned citizens" certainly don't offer a balanced view of the situation. Sure, they're a part of the picture, but that's it. There's more to this picture.

The decline in native population has nothing to do with immigrants/refugees arriving - it has been like this for decades, way before the recent surge in refugee numbers. There are a lot of reasons for that - it's still hard to manage jobs and raising children at the same time; a lot of workplaces are simply unfit to provide what parents need; the amount of stable jobs is declining; there's a shortage of affordable housing, kindergarten spots for children can be very hard to secure and are ridiculously expensive... it's difficult to settle down and start a family if you don't know whether your short-term contract will be extended or if you'll have to move across the country in a couple of months. You won't be able to sign a contract to buy a house if all you do for a living is the umphteenth "internship". That's what's leading to a decline in native population. This wouldn't change if all the refugees (or immigrants altogether) suddenly left.

I'm sure that the "cover up" stories are of the same quality and I'm not really inclined to bother. That's why I prefer to go outside to make first hand experiences. But hey, what do I know since our news are censored and so is my internet :)

I agree with your first paragraph, but like you said. Anecdotal evidence isn't enough. It can be fine where you are, but not fine elsewhere. Which is why the internet is such a great place. I'd love to share some videos on the no-go zones. But they violate the ToS for graphic content, and you can't find them on normal channels. Go check Liveleak if you want to find stuff.

Just because you don't agree with someone's political goals, doesn't make the threats they present as evidence are any less real. You just don't agree with their solution. I don't know who Rainer is. How do you know what Rainer actually thinks? Where did you learn about him? 90% of the time, the media portrays a decent person as the bad guy or controversial guy and twists their message, for views and drama. I never listen to the media, and will only judge someone by what they say themselves in full context. Not excerps, or edited clips. If Rainer was pro-police state. I'd probably hate them. Now if he is actually asking for increased police spending, to better handle the situation they are Ill equipped for (like to secure unsafe zones once more) he should be granted it. As it is common sense.

People will begin fleeing more, once the balance of money tips in the negative. You can only spend so much tax payer money on housing and feeding millions of non working, uneducated migrants before people get tired of increasing taxes.

It's far more than concerned citizens. There are many peoole claiming the police won't protect them. Migrants that at over 18 can claim the are children, as they have no records to disprove that. To get away with crimes as minors. It's population replacement, because the natives are not having kids, and the migrants are having twice as many. 40% of children being born now are of foreign ancestry.

Cover ups are pretty common in all countries, why would yours be any different? You said it yourself, real politics are not out in the open. So going "outside" doesn't do anything. Following the money, and knowing the people involved and keeping track of who they interact with, where and who they went to school with tells you a lot. Rich people live in a totally different world than we do. It's all about making money, and helping their friends. It's never about helping the average person, or doing the right thing. They just trick everyone into thinking it's the best thing ever through propaganda, to further their selfish aims. Then the average person eats it all up, and gleefully votes away their rights and money. Then, when the people get angry, the 1% sets up a boogeyman for them to tear down, which is always their opponents, and people who are opposed to this corruption. It's all games to them. It happens over and over again, and no one learns.

If you silence the speech or opinions of others then it won't be long until you yourself suffer the same fate. A cursory examination of a History book can tell you that. The 20th century illustrates this, on every continent.

Ok, as an American, there is no sexism against women in America.

That's now a fact that you cannot dispute because I'm American.

I said I'm "more apt", not that I always take as absolute truth what someone says who lives in a particular country.

I certainly dispute what you said as fact, because 1) I am a woman living in America, and 2) you have demonstrated a definite bias on that issue.

But this thread is not about your attitudes on sexism or women, so let's have one thread that doesn't get into that.

I am glad that my particular state in the US has a legal penalty against hate speech pertaining to religion, gender, or ethnic origin.   That doesn't mean that all of us in the State of Washington will suffer any particular fate, and I can't imagine what the "same" fate would be.   And if you're referring -- without saying so -- to the Holocaust, your analogy is very inapposite.

Meanwhile Hungary, Poland, Czechia and Turkey are actually on the verge (some have, others are on the road) of becoming "illiberal" (authorian) democracies as Viktor Orbán calls it, but Germany is totalitarian since some radical populists claimed it.

The pendulum will swing eventually. The more extreme a current movement, the farther it will swing the other way once it reaches a certain point.

So due to such extreme liberalism/marxist/socialist domination in Europe. It's going to swing very far right once people get sick of the government.

Then maybe Germany's tv show about Europeans migrating to Africa will actually happen :P

Liberalism dominate? Yes it do, but not as you think. Marxism and socialism? Not at all, the last socialist state disappeared in 91. And there's a difference between most european nations and USA. There isn't that much of an anti-government paranoia, but it have been "swinging" to the right for many years. Fortunately there have been nearly a century since right wing extremism were dominant and decades since left wing extremism. Except for perhaps Russia, but they've been the oddball ever since 1917.

Cultural marxism, and socialisim that thrives in a capitalist system. They exist in Europe quite substantially.

Cultural marxism is a term by conspiracists. One of the believers in that is Anders Behring Breivik.

It is on par with anti vaxxers.

And socialism is the opposite of capitalism.

For example are Denmark and Switzerland socialist? Denmark is a Nordic and Scandinavian country btw.

But one is more capitalist than USA. Switzerland is top 5, and Denmark and US have just as free market orientated economies. Is US a socialist state then? UK and Canada is more capitalist than US. "Socialist" Sweden is around the same level as US according to Heritage Foundation. Which is Conservative btw and not liberal.

So US is more "socialist" and just as "socialist" as many European nations.

The government dictating social behaviors.

The government intentionally creating welfare based societies, to control democratic votes, due to the forced reliance on welfare.

Allowing Academia to be controlled, and directed by Liberal, Communist, and Marxist extreamists.

Using critical theory to delegitimize valid political points, instead of using logic.

Re-writing, or erasing history due to political correctness.

Intentionally forcing the socialist burdens entirely on the middle class untill it collapses the system into the "rich" and "poor".

Spending taxpayer money on things that actively harm native citizens.

Convincing the people one's own culture is a blight on humanity, and urging natives to destroy it.

Those are just a few off the top of my head. Most which are actively taking place in Usa.
