People autochorissexual/fictosexual

Hello everyone,

I think I'm looking for a discussion here or people/friends to discuss with about autochorissexuality/fictosexuality. Maybe I feel I just need to talk about it with other people cause I feel I'm becoming obsessive with a fictionnal character, I become a bit frustrated or I don't know exactly. I don't sleep anymore.  I would like to know if people here feel more or less the same, and I wanted to share experiences, personal experiences around that subject? I know few topics exist but here I'm more looking for allies/contact on that subject. You can PM me if you wish (with pleasure), otherwise I'm also happy to reunify some people here :)

Is there people that corresponds to those kind of sexuality here? How do you feel about it?

Thanks you for your answer

I definitely can't relate, but I've always wondered how people get obsessed with fictional characters and develop feelings towards them. It's a very foreign concept to me as I can't develop any kind of attraction to someone who does not exist. I struggle with real people to begin with. Could you share your experiences with me? I want to be more understanding in this regard.

Hi Yatagarasu, yes I understand, everybody has its (a)sexuality.  I totally can't relate to people attracted by "flesh" people as well for example.

I always been that, but I got to know the terms "asexual" and sub-groups one or two months ago. Before, I was keeping a kind of distance to my fic characters desires, cause I thought it was not normal and then I was still looking for a partner (maybe close to my dream). But I think, since then, I'm cuting myself totally to meet new people cause I think they are totally unatractive (and if I befriend men, chances are that they want more). And I think I got myself in a obscessive and closed-to-myself direction to a fictionnal world. As i said, I always been like this since I'm 8 yeards old, but well since I know it can be "okay to be like this" then maybe it's fucking my mind. Don't know. I think it's fine but I can't sleep because of my obcession.

I can find some people aesthetically attractive, but nothing more and I'm pretty much antisocial and a misanthrope. I can find characters likeable, as in having favorite characters, because I find their personality whatsoever interesting, but still, I focus on the plot itself, rather than characters and their relationships. Maybe you could talk with a specialist about your concerns? I mean, loving fictional characters isn't a bad thing in and of itself, but if it disrupts your life and/or health, then I'd be concerned.

By the way, how is it to develop such feelings?

Yes I'm also misantrhope.  About the specialist, maybe. Let's see if talking with people helps maybe.

If I get your question, I guess it's like when you develop feelings with someone real, and if you fall in love, maybe it's the same I guess. Except you can't touch.  Did you fall in love someday?

Yes, good idea.

I'm currently in a relationship, but my way of "loving" is really childlike and simple (:3 _ )=

A dear friend of mine is autochorissexual but has also a sexual life with her (real) boyfriend - she only fantasizes about yaoi characters :D

When I told her about this label, she immediately identified ^^

I'm not obsessed with fictional characters anymore. But i do still find them sexually attractive (male characters). Unlike real people.

I'm typically attracted to fictional characters, males and the occasional female (though i sometimes don't perceive gender due to my weird fluctuations). I experience some sort of attraction to people in real life occasionally too, but I find it more of an annoyance than anything :P)

I'm honestly not sure, but, at least personally, I think it has more to do with the fact that it's still excluding me. If it's between two other characters but it excludes me personally, then it's fine; it still classifies as not being attracted to a person. Maybe my love of fictional characters and their relationships stems from my innate fear of being alone for the rest of my life and is therefore what makes their relationship so attractive to me. I don't feel attraction to people in real life but I'm still afraid I'll end up alone for the majority of my life after all my friends go separate ways and life gets busy. The relationship that doesn't involve me but I can still be "involved in" would make more sense in this case.
