Hello there, and welcome to AVEN! :cake:

As part of my welcome to you, I'd like to point out some important threads that might be helpful in your first few days here. :) The Terms of Service is here. We recommend you read it over, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to send either myself or any other administrator or moderator (the "admod" team, as we're called) a message.  Also, there's a handy forum called Site Info, which has some useful information including a thread outlining who moderates which forum. If you ever need something done in or have questions about a specific forum, please message the mod of that forum. And if you have problems with the site in general, or any single member, please message any admod.

The following are also nifty links to take a look at:  Welcome Lounge Mini Manual | Welcoming 101 | Quick Guide to the Forums | Asexuality FAQ's

Again, welcome to AVEN and I hope your stay is everything you hoped!

My fish are schooling fish, they don't have individual names. Just group names. The sucking cat fish are "the cleaning crew" the silver tetras are "the cool kids" and my yo yo loach is "the class clown"

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I used to have several fish, one was named Brownie, as (even though Brownie was a gold fish)  Brownie was completely brown except for a small area of orange. The skin condition that Brownie had lessened over time, so Brownie's name changed. It went from; Patch (orange area increased) to Splotch, to Dot (now only a tiny amount of brown remained) The final stages were, Moustache(Yes Brownie did indeed look like she/he/it had a moustache) Monocle, and then finally Beauty Spot.

I had other fish too, one was called Tiny and never ate the pellets, Tiny instead survived on the decorational seaweed that adorned his/he/it 's roof, there was one named Bob, one called Longtail, and a few others I cannot remember. I'd be curious to know any stories you have about your fish.

By now they have lived their fishy lives to the full, and are happy in fishy heaven.
