I think I might be Asexual? Just not sure.

Hi I am new and sorry if this is not the correct place to post something like this.

 

Well to start off with I am a male and I currently consider myself straight, but after hearing about Asexuality I believe I may be it.

 

 Personally I don't feel like I have ever felt sexual attraction, there has never been a time where I wished or desired to do anything sexual with anyone. Just that type of stuff never really appealed to me and just found it weird whenever my friends talked about who they found 'sexy'. Although, I do look at masturbate to porn, but I only look at gay furry porn and that is it really, "normal" porn occasionally is repulsive to me, but not as repulsed as I was last year. So that is why I don't look at "normal" stuff. And I know Asexuals can look at porn and masturbate, but I thought it was worth saying.

 

Also as far as I know I don't think I have ever felt romantic attraction either. I have never had a crush on anyone before and I never had thought anyone was 'cute' or 'hot' just feels weird seeing everyone around me talking about who they like and how they are lonely and I am sitting their never romantically liking someone. Personally I don't feel like I am Aromantic and I feel like I am Hetero, but yeah I guess, just felt like mentioning all this

 

 But despite all this I am still just confused and very unsure whether I am asexual. It's just... I don't know really, just despite me thinking I fit the definition of Asexual, I still just feel unsure really and just come to, to call myself asexual. Do you think I am over thinking this? Give it more time or just wait really, anyways thanks for reading.

 

TLDR:- I don't think I have felt Sexual or Romantic attraction, I look at porn, and I am just very unsure if I really am asexual.

I don't think anyone can really help to define yourself, you are the only one that can know exactly what you feel. I understand that it can be hard to figure it out and to be 100% sure, but I'd suggest you to not think about it too much. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter, of course it is important for an eventual relationship, but you need to give yourself time. Also, I don't know how old are you, but if you are young (like under 18-19), it's totally normal in my opinion to feel confused.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, sucks I am the only one who knows what I am, but that is just logic I guess, I also guess you are correct in doesn't matter as it's just a small part of life really and can't spend much time over thinking it. Also I am 18 by the way. Anyways thanks again!

It sounds like you may be asexual and possibly aromantic. If I may ask, why don't you feel you are aromantic?

Hmm honestly not sure, like I am just pretty sure I still like girls romantically despite never liking one romantically if that makes sense. Just doesn't kinda seem right for me? Not too sure, sorry.
